  2. Is Noble Otter getting out of Texas? Maybe not enough buyers with their Texas-based soaps. This is an ongoing investigation.

  3. For the members of TSD who aren't yet follicly challenged, the joy of a head/dome shave is something to be savoured, and to be feared, but to be embraced with strong enthusiasm and become an exclusive honourable member of the dolphin smooth headed bald is beautiful club.
Myself, and the honourable member @Trigger will give you guidance on how to embrace and welcome the "Kojak look" with no fear or embarrassment.

Fabulous shave on a dreary morning. Gradually working my way to having this soap meet up with the Edmund Fitzgerald. Wonderful three passes with the Taylor Eyewitness straight. The end result was a super close and comfortable shave.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

The HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.3) with Lavender & May Chang I haven't added to my shaving soap rotation for a while and forgot how much of a delight it is to shave with.. The zesty citrus scent from the May Chang is a wonderful addition to the Lanolin Soap recipe.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave to finish my shaving week off wonderfully with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

  17. Thank you Gary

Nice setup with some interesting software
Good thing you mentioned about the mismatched handle...would never have noticed!

I did enjoy the RasoZero soap, but agree it is not in the top tier. Usable, nevertheless, but a great scent which makes up for things

    Thanks Joe

    and again: thanks Joe

Fair enough, no problem with that.

Nice shave Joe. I am impressed you went to a 7 day dome turf

There is that nice brush again Lol!
funky razor: to the holes in the goodwill make the shave "feel" any different to you?

I well remember Kojak and his lollipop
Might be time to dig out some of those movies
Fortunately for some, the dome is fairly smooth.

Being of a rather bony disposition, my own dome is on the lumpy side
Just need more hair product is all!
That way I can go for the Tin-Tin look: that will do for now!

Fantastic shave. Fun looking brush too

Fun midget shave Barry. Don't lose that in the lathering bowl will ya?
  18. Kojak is well worth revisiting, a firm favourite of mine, along with the early series/seasons of Columbo.
Now I understand your reasons of apprehension on not wanting to head shave, and to keep hold of those precious sparse dome follicles to mask your lumpy dome. The "Tin Tin hairline look" will help immensely, especially if you tell people you have dog called snowy, and you listen to the Thompson Twins.:D
I'm blessed at least not to have a lumpy boney dome, however, I have a 25mm childhood scar at the back of my head due to yours truly climbing & falling from the top of a horse chestnut tree, with the fall I received a broken collar bone and a fractured ankle. My main concern wasn't the fall & injuries it was the conkers/ horse chestnuts that I gathered were ok for the up and coming annual school conker tournament. Happy days...

  19. Great TT shave :). As part of my TT, I did Clubman Country Club shampoo(in shower)and Clubman Hair Gel(out of shower, prior to shave). But back to the shave, I got a lot of the Mama Bear "The Club" soap onto the brush. Clean&clear all over. No "incidents of negativity". 2 passes, although as I looked at the brush after the 2, I could have easily done a 3rd(but didn't). Maybe I'll try a third someday. Nice close-off with the Clubman A.S. They say the 12.5 oz. bottle(my current one)is the one used in most barbershops. I got a good "tingle" spreading it across Cactus Nation. As Outstanding As It Gets.
  20. thank you Chris.no,the holes in the cap don't change anything.they are relief holes for the pins on the baseplate..all part of the gillette/autostrop merger around 1930..:):eatdrink047:..good read..;)
