I have a couple of 1970 era Gillette Tech razors gen 3 with Zinc top caps and I think they shave fantastic. The factory aluminum handle on these razors weigh in at about 11-12 g. I do like just a bit more weight but not a lot of weight added to these particular tech razors. I found these really cool factory nickel plated hollow brass ball end replica handles at Razor Emporium. These handle are available in Nickel, natural Brass with no plating, Rhodium , 24K Gold plating & and high polish. The handle ends are threaded and lock tighten into the billet brass handle tube. (No tube cracking like old vintage hollow ball tip handles). I think these handles are great they weigh 28g, length 3.136, dia .393. They have great grip and a super nice vintage look and finish.

    * See pic’s of replica nickel handle on my 1973 T-4 Gillette Tech, great handle and looks great.

    Happy Shaves Everyone,

Razorock also makes nice alternative handles, especially if you are looking for something more along the lines of a Gillette Bulldog handle, as long as you don't mind it being stainless.

Razor Emporium has them beat for the old type handle though.

I think you may be talking about one of Razo Rocks handles like this one. The Razo Rock Thin Bar handles (this pic is of the thinner of the two offerings of this style handle).

Razor Emporium is my go too place, because I live close. Good people.

I agree and live a few hours from them myself.

As long as they stay away from my razors... they may be good people, who knows...
Easily the worst company for razor services out there. End of story.

The good thing here is you have the choice not to take or send your razors to them for service.

They've had major Quality Control issues, in the past, as well as Customer Service issues. I have used Razor Emporium a couple of times, during this period, and was lucky enough to get some good work out of them, at a fair price. Now, they charge a premium for their work, and that is what keeps me away from them.
