Grazie Joe Thanks Joe. Hmm, yes. Good point. I do remember dulling blades needing more effort >>>>> haemorrhage Lol! Advice taken, Blade Binned elegant shave setup Gary Welcome @Skimmer776 the more the merrier Impressive headshave with a SE razor.
Exactly right John, for the most part. I have tried shaving with no pre-shave, and so far no good. Any kind of preshave works better for me Normally hot water prep 30secs x3 Pre-shave prep with either proraso or lately Palmolive shave cream or other shave creams. Hand rub in adding some water. It stays on while I lather up in the bowl. Face rinse again prior to lathering It does add time/cost/effort, but it's part of my ritual I have found with Mitchell's Wool Fat (which I regard as a tolerable acquaintance rather than a close friend) if I lather straight over the pre shave it works better. With other soaps like Stirling if I do that it also provides a sort of super lather. I am getting to the end of the Palmolive shave cream at the moment. I have toyed with the idea of using it on its own to see how that works for me, but since I am on a damage free quest for May, I will leave that for another day.
Thank you Chris. I had a great head shave with the Supply V2 this morning. I still prefer my Parker InjRzr for my headshaves though, the weight & balance a great combo. However, the Supply is a superb razor, I just have to adjust to it's heft & apply more attention when shaving with it than I do with my Parker and other injector razors.

May 20 SOTM Good afternoon. Shavette Shave #616 Dovo Personna Hairshaper Blade (6) J T Spartan Synthetic Brush Captain's Choice North SS and AS Stirling Alum Block Beard Growth: 2.5 Days It is a late post. Three passes for a smooth and comfortable shave. Did get a small chin weep. The soap is hard so I did a brush load and then facelathered. Soap was slick so the razor easily glided on my skin. Alum feedback was minimal. Splashed the matching aftershave and good to go. Take care.
