Extremely close shave this morning with the Kami Shavette. The soap featured in this shave was picked up by my wife months ago while she was at a conference in Albany, NY. Just when I this I am started to make a small dent in my soap collection another is added. This shave was my first with this soap. A two puck sells for $10 on their website. The scent, Clary Sage, is very mild. The lather was slick and provided a nice cushion for the blade to perform its task.

The customary three passes were featured with stellar results. Super smooth without any mishaps.

Great shave today, back with IKE. I'm going to call Ike "2 Presidents" due to the reference to both Ike and JFK. Don't ask me how Frank put a JFK favorite into "Ike", when he already HAD a "JFK", which now appears to be off Frank's list. Course Frank is the StrikeGold owner. I say "Don't ask", because his answer CONFUSED me. Anyway, a minute at the Loading Dock prior to the soap administering. Clean and clear shave all over. No damage. 2 very healthy passes. Fine finish from the "2 Presidents" A.S. Very delighted today. . As Outstanding As It Gets.

For my Sunday shave this week, I'm afraid I 'skipped' Menthol May. Today I went with--

Prep: Warm shower, but cool (the water isn't cold here at this time of year) rinse. Cool washcloth, and Razor Emporium's unscented charcoal pre-shave bar rubbed on my wet face.
Razor: Edwin Jagger
Blade: LOI Salon Blades Titanium
Brush: Parker best badger
Lather: Watchman from Zingari Man (a sample size I got)
Aftershave: Nivea for Men Seensitive Cooling Post-shave Balm





This was a fine shave! I love the scent of Watchman (and also Navigator from these guys). Sadly, my wife doesn't love it (though she doesn't hate it, either). I have tried this sample and my Navigator sample twice each now, and the lather from this company is different than the lather from others I've tried. It's kinda thinner or something, in addition to _seeming_ like I use more of this soap than other 'artisan' brands for a shave. The results are very good, though, so I can't exactly complain. I hope to be able to try it (and others) with soft water in the future.

This blade has very similar feel and sound to the A-best blades from the same company. The badger brush is, as I suppose most all of you know well, VERY different from the synthetic. This was actually the first brush I got, but my neck sometimes objects to the prickliness of the badger. That is why I have the synthetic, but I can make either work acceptably...at least once I remind myself which brush I'm using and how to use it... LOL!

Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
Face & head Lather.
Lather: Wilkinson Sword Sensitive shave soap.
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword. (D3)
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Premium. (TTO)
Razor: Supply V2 (**) base plate. (Head/Dome) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D3)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Original Blue Stratos ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

Another great performance from the inexpensive WS sensitive shave soap.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Usual Hot Water Prep
Soap = Tabac
Brush = Omega Pura Setola 11137
Bowl = White Plastic
Razor = Gillette No 15 set
Blade = Gillette 7 o’clock sharp edge (2)
Passes = 2 ++
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal,
ASL = Tabac Aftershave balm
Scent = Tabac ASL

The sharp edge did the job well enough, but felt this was a bit tugging towards the end, so it sealed its fate to the One Blade blade bin. Another fine damage free shave. Skipping the odd day here and there which helps a lot
