Sunday 08 Jun 2025 Same setup as the last 2 shaves except for Gillette ~1947 Aristocrat Permasharp (2) Lovely “crisp” shave with this razor. It seems to be of a different construction than my other Gillettes: very much audible feedback, similar to the Merkur Progress Very efficient 2 passer with no damage Nice clean cutting action from the Permasharp on day 2 Less than 1 gram of TOBS Oud ( about 1/8 teaspoon) plus 4 drops of glycerine and 4 cc of water. Taking care to lightly lather this is in the bowl without too much pressure on the brush, to avoid the lather reaching the knot. Beautiful creamy lather. Plenty and then some for 2 passes and the back of the neck Superb Sunday shave, all scented up, clean and smooth, off to the GP for a follow up visit Crispy autumnal morning here in Perth Hope you all have a great Sunday ahead
-The-Sunday-Shave- no.25 ever-ready fine sandalwood shulton old spice good morning gents splendid sunday shave fabulous fine sandalwood hard soap lather built with the ever-ready smooth 2 passer with the no.25 brit tech, minor pickups 1960's shulton old spice to finish awesome have a swell sunday everyone
Much better shave today(Sun), with same arsenal. NO DAMAGE. I just went a little softer over the area of the cut. Big improvement. Boy, that Master Splash Spearmint A.S. is COLD.So much so, it almost HURTS. Maybe it's supposed to? Anyway, enough of that until later on in the summer. You're forced to ask the question "Is this what an 'Ice Bucket Challenge' feels like?". Anyway-fine shave overall: As Outstanding As It Gets.
Thank you Gary. You can bet I was a bit nervous going over Central South Porcupine again, but I just went ahead and did it.
I just watched a video on Master Soap Creations Vintage Spice Soap. This guy really focuses on shaving when he shaves(course we ALL should, right?). When it came to the aftershave, he had the MSC Vintage Spice AAAND Osage Rub(saying he might as well use Osage, since it was hot outside). I've never been that creative in just one shave. When I use Osage, that's IT. But he loves the MSC Vintage Spice. Looks great, all right.
June 8 SOTA Good afternoon. Straight Razor Shave #609 C-Mon Jean Michels Brooklyn Rockwell Synthetic Brush Stirling Spice SS and AS Stirling Alum Block Lucky Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 2 75 Days Three error-free passes gave me a very close and comfortable shave. As always, the Stirling lather was great. I made thicker than usual, bit it was still very slick. Change is a good thing. Alum was most silent. The witch hazel and matching aftershave treatment was very nice to end this shave. Take care.
