A quick lead in here behind these razor finds. The lady that owns the local antique store that I know is selling out. She sent me a text of some Gillette razors her ex husband had put back in a drawer of the business hidden away that had been forgotten about. I said I would come down and possibly make her an offer. Well I made her an offer of $50.00 and picked up these sweet Gillette razors plus two Gem single edge razors she through in the deal. * A 1964 Gillette Slim in mint condition with case blade pack and instruction sheet code J-4. * A 1972 Gillette Knack code R-2 in mint condition with case and blade pack. It has the deep navy blue handle (it looks black in the pic). I don’t think this razor was ever used at all. * Two older Gem single edge razors she through in the deal just to get rid of them. I was a happy camper to say the least. The Gillette Knack razor the very first one I have ever got my hands on is a really fantastic shaver, I was very surprised. I really was impressed with its shaving performance and feel (a win win for sure). I have several slims another 64 a 65 and a 67 all in like new condition (Slims are a favorite of mine). Happy Shaves To Everyone. Bill G
Very nice score. If the Slim was a J-3, I would be offering you some money for it. A J-3 would be my Birthday Razor.
Well if it was a J-3 code we could have talked about it. My other 1964 Slim is also a J-4 and I wish one of them would have been a J-2 my birth year date code. Maybe one day I will run across a J-2 for my collection. All The Best & Happy Shaves, Bill G
