Technically, Dovo is the only one that is allowed to use the term shavette because they are the ones who hold the rights to it.
However, the wet shaving community uses the shavette term to denote razors that allow the shaver to have unlimited angles whereas a safety razor limits the angle. There are razors that don't close in a handle (scale) called kamisoris that are called shavettes. There are shavettes that use full DE blades.
Finally, traditional straights and shavettes are known as open razors.

As a side note, I first learned to shave with my Dovo shavette before I moved on to straights. Most shavers start with straights because they are more forgiving than shavettes. The reason is that a razor blade is machined into a thinner and sharper edge than compared to a newly honed straight edge.

Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears Naturalé aloe Vera & olive oil bar soap.
Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl
Lather: Vitos Vegetale Shaving Soap.
Blade: Lord Shark Super Stainless. (D1)
Razor: 2020 King C. Gillette.
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head/Dome) (D4)

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./ Boots Facial Cucumber Toner./ Boots Cucumber Moisturising Lotion./ P&G Old Spice Original ASL.

A relaxing early morning face & head shave.

Everything in my shave set up this morning worked together wonderfully.. The Vitos Vegetale Soap lathers up superbly provides me a slick protective thick lather with a wonderful vibrant marzipan /sweet almond scent with a small hint of coconut oil which lasts throughout the shave and beyond leaving a superb post shave feel.

My 2020 King C. Gillette. & Shark super stainless, was yet again another smooth comfortable match feeling smooth and efficient. When I first started out the Shark super stainless where one of the my first purchased blades, I bought them with blind impulsion purely for the super cool shark cover design. My skin type really likes stainless steel/ PFTE coated blades, they have a good balance of smoothness/sharpness which is a great combo I find them durable & efficient.

Another close comfortable acceptable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of P&G Old Spice Original ASL.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

Two fabulous TI shaves in the homeland of the missus. Another extremely warm to hot summers day in store. The pool will be beckoning at some point this afternoon.
