I was just doing the parts I know at dial somehow between 3--4 (hence the 3--4 on commenting on my shave) after doing some parts on dial 1 I need to do these parts on one or use a mild shaver that is a 2, think the modern Super Speed remakes Weishi that and a few others make for the whole shave. I just found the shaver was not getting the shave I wanted on 4 it was still leaving the face rough, so I used the 5 after on everything and the result was good. My mistake this time and most common is in using on the just below the nose part I went a tad too aggressive. I did have to actually clean out the shaver 3 times today but the second was, I thought I was done the one in the middle was the about 80% I need to do, why I use a butterfly shaver over a 3 piece because I know I would be having to waste time taking apart in the middle of the shave.

If I use any kind of soap, cream, gel or something that is not very thin more for lubrication I will cut myself more because of how that stuff I have no feel so I will no matter what go harder. I can't fix the issue, why I use product meant to absorb into the skin before shaving when I need something. I would probably do the same with specific blades that have no feel to them or other name for no feel being very sharp is cut myself even worse than with a thick layer of stuff on my face using my normal blades. The only thing I find worse are the dull beginner blades like Dorco Stainless Steel 300/ Platinum Stainless Steel 301 that just rip the hair out rather than cut it.

My shave today was a 9.5/10 I had again one single small micro moustache cut reopened I went on 1 for parts of the upper cheeks for those odd hairs then did the rest on 3 except the chin where I went 4 but back to 3 for the moustache area.

I used like always my Gillette Adjustable Shaver slim handle my no case H 2, a 1962 I can date.

I used only water keeping the blade/shaver head wet.

I know I need a new shaver blade as to my response yesterday, but I am hoping to keep using my current blade until the New Book comes in King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20 and until that book does on August 1st--6th, I am using up my current blade, a 2017 Personna made in USA 100 pack blade then getting a new blade probably another Persona made in USA 100 pack either the new 2024--2025 or older 2017 it will be up for debate, I doubt I will be using my King C Gillette blades because they die around 27--30 days due to being mostly the Chinese thin versions in the older 2017 Persona pack along with the Persona to fill the pack as the case is messed up needing a small Velcro strap I had to hold the top closed because the flaps that stick into the box are missing. On my newer box 2024--2025 I taped up the case with packing tape unlike the older 2017 I had to repair with the first year of use with packing tape and duct tape just to keep the box usable.

    Fun new stuff Gary
    Thanks Gary

    thanks for your input Charlie.

Quick question: do only go WTG when skin stretching? I find it a bit risky to combine stretching with ATG atm.

@Casey 1988 oh and don't forget to pull all the funny faces to get to those tough areas too :)

I do not forget to do the odd skin tightening though the tough areas where some of them do require odd faces around the Moustache area/mouth corners and when stretching the chin.

Fine shave on this "Way Of Wednesday". A minute at the Loading Dock with the Stoylin brush doing its magic on the Aqua Velva clone soap(Wet Shaving Store). Clean, clear fresh shave across the face&neck. No redness anywhere. 2 healthy passes. Not as much of a Niagra Falls result as yesterday, pouring out the Aqua Velva A.S. The key lesson here is "Ya don't need much of this stuff, buddeh". Perhaps that explains the large pour spout on the bottle. Anyway, As Outstanding As It Gets for today. .

This morning's head and face shave is posted late. I was meeting Joe @JACarbone for our monthly breakfast. Yes, we did get our lovely waitress. Conversation was great as always. OK, let me get back to the shave.
Did 2 passes on the face and Dome. Minor touchups on the dome was needed for the cueball result, however, I nicked myself twice, but they were minor. The alum took care of it. Fortunately, I didn't cut my face and had a very close and comfortable shave. I picked the Tabac stick because it's easy to lather and didn't want to prolong the shave time. The alum feedback was present. I find the Voshkhod blades are rough by the 4th use. I probably will use this blade one more time on the face. Applied the witch hazel and aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

For tbe most part, I agree Charlie. I have switched settings and didn't need to change my technique. My beard growth determined the setting.
