Massive Catch up: When I a too lazy to strop a razor but want a straight razor shave, load my Tadulus with a Feather Pro is my solution. IMHO this is the best shavette, my Feather DX has not seen the light of day since I got this razor. In the bowl is my summer bug replent soap, Electric Sheep. When I don't have time and I want a quick but epic shave, Cobra Classic is my go to, always a blood free quick excellent shave. No time in the morning two days in a row, so Cobra Classic again. Feeling like a dandy this morning so a very decorated Revisor and Creek Tambarome to complete my transformation.
When you choose Primo, you choose The Veg. BTW, I have had three bottles of Black Afgano over the years. Had to sell them all. Dr. Mrs. Primo cannot abide with the stank of that stank.
Thursday, July 24 Yes, I used the Figaro, but the brush was the high point. Mamma mia, this is my new #1 brush.
Still working on the tub of Awesome Sauce and hoping to finish it before I leave for my tour of the British countryside. This big 8/8 Revisor shaves as good as she looks, left the house after lots of sprays with the MDCI Le Berbier de Tanger. I do prefer the Invasion Barbare. Last straight razor shave before I depart so I went with my Snail Forge Wotz steel and Green Irish Tweed. I was hoping the soap would be done before my journey but alas it holding out. This one will get finished when I return.
Probably not. It's my "pre-2010" Mühle R41. You can distinguish it from my 2011, due to the stock handle. My 2011 sports a now, unobtanium, Weber Bulldog.
Sunday, July 27 Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Black Eagle HT01~~2011 Mühle R41/Wizamet Iridium Super~~West Indies Bay Rum w/Lime @Keithmax this one's for you. The one and only, 2011 Mühle R41. (Notice the Weber Bulldog) We'll be well into August before the Figaro is spent.
Monday, July 28 Queen Charlotte Soaps Lavender~~TSNXLE~~2011 Mühle R41~~Lavande 44 Couple of new soaps arrived today. Took the Queen Charlotte for a spin. Excellent soap; smells and lathers suspiciously like AoS Lavender (tallow/Valobra)
Tuesday, July 29 Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Rooney Beehive~~Cobra Classic~~Frederic Malle The Moon The end isn't far, but there are many shaves before it's gone.
Saturday, August 2 Klar Kabinett~~Kent BLK8~~Cooper Monobilt~~2016 Paco Rabanne Invictus Changed it up for the weekend. There's about a half-dozen shaves remaining of the Figaro. Should be able to knock it off within a week.
classy shave and pic Joseph.i miss using my cooper monobilt occasionally, but know my friend Jim @jimjo1031 enjoys it very much.
Sunday, August 3 Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Wolfman WR1 .74 Ti/Voskhod~~Kouros Cologne Sport
I am back home. During my tour of the English countryside this was my travel set up: Tabac, Karve razor, Feather blades and a Varlet brush. First shave at home I opted for an 8/8 Dovo and back to the 3017, Awesome Sauce whipped up with my Simpson Tulip 3 and finished off with Eau Sauvagte. Feeling a jet lagged and not enough energy to prep a straight razor but still wanted the feeling of scary steel.... 2011 R41. I think the Awesome Sauce will finish next week. MDCI Barbier de Tanger was the stank du jour.
Wednesday, August 6 Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Rubberset 400/3~~Wolfman WR1/Voskhod The soap is getting pretty thin. Gotta say, 3017'ing a triple-milled soap separates the men from the boys.
This 3017 is complete, unlike our favorite tenor I do not dare to 3017 a triple-milled soap. All that is left are a few scraps that I will add to Proraso tomorrow. I did enjoy the scent and PA CK6 formula is a good performer for me. The two shaves that finished off the Awesome sauce. I paired a Brian Brown 7/8 blade with The Rooney Blond Badger and Neroli Portofino. The final blow was delivered with a 2011 R41, C-Mon Heritage brush capped of with vintage Brut.
