That is even though it has technically a different name of Aristocrat or Executive Depending on the year, the gold is the Holy grail of Gillette Adjustable slim handle models because that is what the model is actually just with gold thin plating of 14 carat gold or gold paint

There is also a version of this model from Q-Shave/Yintel, possibly a Weishi model exclusively sold to Q-Shave/Yaqi that is a flip top that the Futur is not, being a snap on. I only know about the shavers because I almost got the model when looking at Butterfly models of adjustable shavers, ease of needing to take apart in middle of the shave for an 80%--90% clean to keep using before the final clean in early 2025 when my Micro Touch started dying but the Chinese model Q-Shave/Yintel had in flip top had this issue of the hinge getting loose where the flip top needed to be lined up every time per most newer reviews.

A good post Casey... I'm aware of the Q-shave/Yintel adjustable(Futur clone) & Super Speed, and Tech type head clones are all originally manufactured by Weishi with different packaging & names for selling purposes.
Like any mass produced clone products there is always going to be an element of risk of purchasing a dud. Fortunately for myself with my Ming shi 2000s (Futur Clones), yes I two, the seller on e-Bay UK at the time I placed the order sent me two but only charged me for one. Anyway, I have read reviews that some people had blade alignment problems and the head getting loose, for me I've never had this problem with both of mine, or any other problems with my other Chinese clone razor purchases. I consider myself fortunate I suppose. I repeat myself and say with any mass produced product and where Quality control faults will be over looked. It's "quantity, rather than quality" in the manufacturing market this day and age, and China is the best at producing Quantity of any product.
    Yours-Barry.

I agree with you there mate about some of the shaving products coming out of China. I have a few Yaqi
Brushes the synthetic fibres are first class
it’s a little known fact that the best synthetic fibres for shaving brushes and other fine fibre brushes are coming out of China and are commonly used by the top brand brush makers
    Cheers.

I've said this before, but I will do what I can in terms of $$$$ to get a Truefitt&Hill. For now, though, I am a "Kent Bloke".

I was saying that there is another design out there from the original clip in design I actually saw in 2017 when I was deciding on whether or not to get the Weishi or Baili models of butterfly or get the Micro Touch One because the reviews were only for the Micro Touch One regretting not getting the and instead getting the model from local Walgreens becuse it was there despite the case being all smashed up.

There is also the cheap OEM of both designs the fully removable clip on top and flip top that has a slightly cheaper look to the design as in the parts are off in the picture not selecting a partictular shaver that had good manufacturing when made and handle in the skinny grip part looks sharper on the corners.

I agree with you on the Yaqi synthetic shaving brushes, I have three which are great for face and bowl lathering, my favourite are size knots are the 24mm. Superb value for money and use.

Todays shave was a 10/10 because I had only one small micro cut after doing the second round on dial 2, had the first round on dial 1. I am on day 5 topside of blade.

I used like always my Gillette Adjustable Shaver slim handle my no case H 2, the one I can date.

I used water on my face but rewetting parts like Moustache on the first shave with blade on dial 1 also keeping the blade/head of shaver wet. On second go around I used on dial 2 I did not use anything and got to nearly BBS but not quite.

The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am loving the book, currently into the early 1920's era of the Gillette company.

Does it give the origin of its disposeable razors?

Yes, the book goes back to his Childhood but has 12.5 pages of brief shaving history before that. Those early models where the whole item were disposable were only made from 1901 to 1903 with very few made, my guess is like under 1000 with now most of the survivors gone in people's massive shaving collections often pre Great War/WWI rare 1800's safer-shaving products or in museum places like the Smithsonian for importance as they had both his original odd disposable and his first non-disposable model when I went there in mid 2006 to DC under top USA inventions of the 20th century section of a place that also had TV stuff like the Arthur Fonsirelli Jacket of Happy Days.

If talking later modern disposable, the book is at the very end in the last few pages is talking about how the Good News Disposable using the same blade as Gillette Twin Tac II with test model shaving head fused to plastic handle came out in 1976 to compete with the Bic Disposable single blade a few years earlier to have travel shavers in drugstore places or for hotels/cruise ships to sell for those who left at home.

Book I have only had come out in 1978 possibly as the first pressing being the only pressing of the book.

I only looked at the final few pages to see what they said about the Astera original single blade that was a replaceable blade on a head and the Gillette Twin Trac II, apparently according to Badger & Blade they skip the Astera and put Astera II coming out before the Twin Trac II on USA timeline history but then Bager & Blade only care about the Pre modern multi blade shaving with most the focus on Safe-T-Shavers and single 1/2 blade shavers.

Love the comitment to a nearly all Niva shave, as close as one can get even finding bowls/brushes in that Niva blue.
