    Good morning.

    Parker SRS
    Gillette Permasharp 1 / 2 DE Blade
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello SS and AS

Decided to go with a shavette shave this morning. Picked out the Limoncello set because it lathers well and it has a bright citrus scent. Here's my lather:

Two passes gave me a very close and comfortable shave albeit I got a tiny weeper on my lower lip. No biggie. My Alum block took care of it. Did get some decent feedback on my neck. Splashed on the witchazel and the wonderful matching aftershave to finish this session. I will catch up and reply on the previous posts later this evening. Take care.

Fine Throwback Thursday shave this week. I think I have just one more shave left on the Gillette Foamy regular can. It treated me well, all over. No damage. One pass. The Osage Rub A.S. "cooled" me off. As Outstanding As It Gets.

Today's shave(The Friday Fact)_was a repeat of Throwback Thursday. I squeezed out the last of the Gillette Foamy...nice job all over once again, but it reminded me of the Rise Superfoam I recently bought from a private seller(y'know, the "Puppy Mill" of shave item sellers). Tougher squeeze than yesterday, but I got it done. Then it was time to flip the can. Back t0 shave soaps for a week or so, thus I can use the time to decide what foam to get next. The Osage gave me its usual nice cool-off. Very pleased. As Outstanding As It Gets.

My shave today was again a 9.5/10 due to one small cut near the lower lip facing the front chin on my face almost BBS. This time I was on dial 3 the whole time. Day 9 on topside of blade.

I only used water on blade/head of shaver keeping that wet the whole time.

The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am loving the book, now in the late 1920's to 1930 era of the Gillette company though almost out as I am in end parts chapter 6 that gets into 1930.

I did have the one error but it is so small I am not mad considering I have such a smooth shave today,.

My slowing down tips from this focus threads have helped that and posting on here, so I want to do a good job because this is keeping from wanting to do a bad job. I also had a dud blade last month with the 2017 Personna blade and those mid 2010's Personna made in USA blades had this issue of every 10--15 blades being a dud unlike so far, the newer early 2025 bought Personna not like this, much better on the blade quality control but I have only used 2 or 3 blades so far. I had forgot this because for a really long period of 12 shaves I had a blade not good.

I found that out on blade 3--5 on the older 2017 Persona, one of the blades was wavy in a way that clamping down more was not going to help, So at the time before my dad buried the Persona 2017 I had got him I told him as part of a Fathers day gift in 2018 every so many there might be a dud blade. This was well before the 2020 move one of the movers pocketed the shaver blades on purpose the same day I saw one of the guys walk out with one of those modern updated classic indoor 2 prong electric cords with the multi 3 sets of 2 prong on top for a CD player to connect to a multi cord outlet when moving because I was watching the movers for my parents who lived next door.

Yes from 2016 to 2020 it was like the Ray Ramano thing he had in real life before he was really famous with his Comedy via the Ray Ramone character on Everybody Loves Raymond using his actual parents who lived across the street as part of the comedy, only not quite like that more my parents. Okay my mom insisting we (brother and I) eat at the house a good bit because she was so used to making dinner for 4--5 hungry people for a family of 4.

I agree. Shaving is a fun experience for me, instead of a pain in the butt. It's sad that 99% of shavers are unaware of the joys of wetshaving.

I am glad you're learning about shaving technique, etc. When I started posting on this thread almost 7 yrs ago, I felt that I had to do well and the idea of being accountable to everyone on this thread prompted me to improve my shaves. In reality, we are only accountable to ourselves because we are the ones holding a loaded razor or straight edge to our face and neck. As for myself and Barry, we include the dome. We all have blips and that's part of the experience because we learn from them. Bottom line: enjoy your shaves and that's what matters.
