Today's shave was a 9/10 because I missed a spot on the second round going on dial 3 after doing dial 1. I was going quick but not too quick. Day 10 on topside of blade.

I used like always my Gillette Slim Handle H 2.

Shave was after the shower so I only needed water on the blade and the head of the shaver.

I skipped Saturday to see if I could shave with the shaver being careful.

The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am into chapter 7 and into the WWII years.

    Good afternoon.
    Schick I-1
Pella De SE Blade (14, 1)
    Tabac Sk
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 2 Days

    20250810_110040.jpg

I decided to do a quick shave using this serup. I originally did 2 passes. but the blade didn't do a good job so I switched to a fresh blade. The difference provided a nice error-free comfortable and smooth shave after the third pass. The alum feedback was negligible. Finished with the witch hazel and P/CClassic aftershave. Take care.

Yes, the other one I can't date with the case is too nice to use unless I have to.

thanks for the info Gary. Just been watching Matt at Razoremporium discussing these. Since they have the same head as the slims and have some Aluminium I won't go out of my way to look for these. They do look cool though.

    Thanks Gary

    Very nice Sunday shave

Lovely shave Joe, I have sometimes needed to swap blades half way during the shave, so now I know it's a good thing to do!

I like watching Matt's videos. He does more on razors than other shave products, though. Course the name of the compamy IS RAZOR Emporium.

This is why the Super Adjustable models tend to be more $$$ on e-Bay than a Gillette Ajustable with slim handle, the Super adjustable die easier. I bet this corrosion is why you see more of the later models that have the Plastic end cap but not yet a plastic with aluminum on top baseplate because the models with solid one piece plastic bottom handle tend keep the crap out better then the older models even if just a little bit better.

You also want to avoid the Plastic baseplate with aluminum over top because of the few I have seen on e-Bay the plastic tends to crack or worse where no chance of getting the shaver working, warp where the shaver is not going to work for shaving and is basically for parts.

Thanks Gary. Your version sounds cool. I will be using the Schick I-1 on Tuesday for a headshave.

Thanks Chris! There's no shame in switching out blades in the middle of a shave. Why work harder at the risk of getting irritation, nicks, etc. ?
