You really are getting quite a number of shaves on one blade Casey.

Very nice shave Casey. You did a good thing concerning the Gillette book.

It's not the quantity of the stubble, but the quality of the shave. Excellent shave Chris.

Considering I missed a day and my face hair stubble was kind of longer than usual, I think did a good job.

Should see my dad he gets about a year because he uses a wet stone with oil to sharpen his blades.

This is why he likes the thick Dorco blades the most is that my dad can sharpen them longer than other brands. My dad he also used for years the Dorco Twin Trac II blades when Persona stopped being as common in stores in the 1990's and early 2000's after we moved then eventually back t0 Persona for a bit until the Twin Trac II blades were fully online for Dorco and Persona neither who make the blades anymore, only clones of the clones online or actual Gillette blades/shaver from India/China.

Correct Joe, it is! But the point I was trying to make is that I get better shaves when I skip a day, it gives the ageing skin more time to recover

I get lesser shaves if skipping a day due to how fast my hair grows on the beard and parts of moustache as that grows in a style of a thin Boris Badenov style of Rocky and Bulwinkle only slightly thicker mixed with the Charlie Chaplin/Oliver Hardy middle.

Thanks, I am not sure how I usually get around 27--45 days depending on the model/brand other than flipping the blade.

On e-Bay there are more reasonably priced books in the $20-$30 price range including shipping. Also, mine had a defect in printing the inside covers pictures the back one on my copy is upside-down and why the company Thrift Books was selling the book on Amazon because of the defect for exactly what the book sold for in 1978, $10 USA, that and some stickers on the cover from 2 other used books sellers the final one looking unsold before the company went under as most physical book stores did. Both stickers came off very easy. Sure, the paper cover had 2 small rips and hole all of them I repaired from the backside.

Todays shave is a 9.5/10 because of the 2 cuts on the moustache one just opening up one from yesterday and the second is new. Today is day 2 on bottom, overall day 16. I used dial 4 for all but the end touch up that was on dial 1 for most of it.

I used like always my Gillette slim handle H 2 without case.

I used my found lotion that had about 1/8 missing but I added some of the free and clear Palmolive and then shook the container mixing it up to have a very little micro foaming to help the lotion but still be very thin for what I need. This concoction makes a very thin almost shaving cream like feel that does a micro foaming to not soak in all the way but still soak in a bit. I did use water on the head of the shaver as well.

The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am in chapter 9 just around early 1960's trying to keep up the share of the market due to 2 major competitors that one is now owned by Gillette just before Procter & Gamble bought Gillette out with the other bought later by Procter & Gamble in the 2000's after Gillette had joined the brand.

I guess my promoting the book on The Shave Den has caused all the cheap versions of the book to be sold out on Amazon so now people can only buy $50+ books but on e-Bay they have a few books in the $20--$30 range tota including shipping and a $39 book as well with free shipping.
