    :thanks:

    Like I said getting an almost BBS had me nearly go over 10/10 at an 11/10 but then remembered I needed to do touch up with an of the moment experiment with Dial on 9 going lighter on the touch up, this worked very well so 10/10 this shave is. Even now at 11 pm this still feeling good.

    Adjustable/Australian

    2 Days growth

    Sticking with the same focus for the moment….

    Usual Prep
    Cream/Soap = Australian made Woolly Wash Night at the Pub
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = coconut
    Razor = Schick M Type 1964 - 1968 M3 type H1 I think at 4
    Blade = Persona SE day (4)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
    ASL = Clubman Reserve Whiskey woods
    ASB = TOBS Royal Forest
    Scent = Bulgari Wood Essence

    Super clean, super smooth, super scents

    This razor seems better for getting around the chin area than my DE razors. It just seems to work nicely for me. It was PIFF’ed to me from a TSD member a while ago, and will remain one of my favourite shaves

    LOL!..I had to look up Pine Sol, it isn't available in the UK. The colour in question is slightly enhanced due to the indoor light, however what is important is the product is a wonderful post shave application.:cool:

    • Razor : Stando Shaving Mara TI (Poland).
    • Blade : Gillette 7 O’clock Black Platinum (1)(India).
    • Brush : Yaqi Mocha-Marcha Tea Synthetic (China).
    • Soap : Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary (Italy)
    • Aftershave : Genuine Ogallala bay Rum & Sweet Orange Splash (USA).
    • Weight : 62 grams. (razor).
    Hi all,
    I had a Nice first time shave with the Stando Shaving Mara TI.
    I acquired this razor preowned. It came packed in a nice drawstring bag and then attractive tin.
    From what I can see on their website it sells for $460AU plus postage which doesn’t include Australia.
    Luckily for me I paid substantially less for the razor.

    Also from what I read online some people say it’s deceptively aggressive I myself did not find that the case.
    I also loaded it with a 7 o’clock black blade which I and others consider to be a very sharp efficient DE blade so I don’t think this was a factor.
    The razor gave me a good two pass shave but I did need to do a few touch ups along the jaw line and moustache area.
    (if I can’t get a two pass shave out of a DE razor I don’t rate it too. Highly This is my opinion only of course).
    After using the Alpha outlaw evolution SS
    with stunning results for my last shave, the Mara felt like a real step in the wrong direction in efficiency and smoothness.
    Still a good shave, but not memorable excepting it was the first time I have used the razor.

    The Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary soap
    Is everything I was told it would be.
    Great cushioning great on the face feel great aftershave feel and the fragrance beautiful.

    Finished off nicely with Genuine Ogallala bay Rum & Sweet Orange Splash.
    Definitely my favourite brand of Bay rum aftershave.

    One pass WTG one pass ATG with some touch ups Done.

    No nicks No worries.
    Cheers.

    Today's shave is a 10/10 even with the single hair ripped out as I got nearly BBS. I shaved on Dial 5 after realizing the shaver was on dial 1 after about 2--3 passes but I tried dial 9 for around the lips going light, did not work so I went back to dial 5 with only a single hair ripped out when dial was on 9 stopping after that except for a touch up on a single spot on dial 1 after I thought I was done. Today is day 4 on bottom of blade, overall blade day 18. I could not sleep at 4:30 am so I shaved after a talk with my brother.

    I used like always my Gillette slim handle H 2 without the case.

    I could not sleep so I used my concoction of hotel small lotion with the adding a hair bit more of the Palmolive free and clear to the mixture before using to get it to lather a bit more, the other soap had mixed in more. I did keep shaver head/blade wet the whole time.

    The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am in the beginning of chapter 10 as I did not read the book at all yesterday.

    Cool. Like the look of that cute Naples Tuxedo brush!

    Still plenty of stuff to choose from. I have slowed down my acquisitions, and really enjoy seeing the variety that others have. Keep 'em coming!

    Thanks Gary

    No nicks, no worries is what it is all about. Cool setup. So that's a stainless steel razor Paul? Sounds like it did the job just fine. The soap sounds like a winner too.

    Thank you Chris...Actually I've made a error with the brush in my post, it's actually the "Frank Shaving 22mm Synthetic" not the Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo synthetic brush I'll shall correct the error in my post.

    Fine setup and shave Chris. I understand why you think that way because I find Schick SE razors shave similarly to a cartridge razor.

    Excellent setup and awesome shave Barry. I know you shave your head on a daily basis, but do you ever give it a one day rest?
