    • Razor : Stando Shaving Mara TI (Poland).
    • Blade : Gillette 7 O’clock Black Platinum (1)(India).
    • Brush : Yaqi Mocha-Marcha Tea Synthetic (China).
    • Soap : Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary (Italy)
    • Aftershave : Genuine Ogallala bay Rum & Sweet Orange Splash (USA).
    • Weight : 62 grams. (razor).
    Hi all,
I had a Nice first time shave with the Stando Shaving Mara TI.
I acquired this razor preowned. It came packed in a nice drawstring bag and then attractive tin.
From what I can see on their website it sells for $460AU plus postage which doesn’t include Australia.
Luckily for me I paid substantially less for the razor.

Also from what I read online some people say it’s deceptively aggressive I myself did not find that the case.
I also loaded it with a 7 o’clock black blade which I and others consider to be a very sharp efficient DE blade so I don’t think this was a factor.
The razor gave me a good two pass shave but I did need to do a few touch ups along the jaw line and moustache area.
(if I can’t get a two pass shave out of a DE razor I don’t rate it too. Highly This is my opinion only of course).
After using the Alpha outlaw evolution SS
with stunning results for my last shave, the Mara felt like a real step in the wrong direction in efficiency and smoothness.
Still a good shave, but not memorable excepting it was the first time I have used the razor.

The Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary soap
Is everything I was told it would be.
Great cushioning great on the face feel great aftershave feel and the fragrance beautiful.

Finished off nicely with Genuine Ogallala bay Rum & Sweet Orange Splash.
Definitely my favourite brand of Bay rum aftershave.

One pass WTG one pass ATG with some touch ups Done.

    No nicks No worries.
    Cheers.

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shaving Soap was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #465 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Double Ring Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Super Speed/7 AM day 12
    Noxzema Lather SC
    Prep ASB
    Booster Polar Ice AS Splash
    Pierre Cardin Cologne

Ahhhhhhh did this ever feel like from the Garden of Eden - a beautiful three pass BBS shave with my number one cream followed by the Prep balm for lots of additional moisturizing and soothing. The Polar Ice aftershave went on with its awesome old school barbershop scent and finally the Pierre Cardin fragrance which I discovered when I first moved here to Canada. Wowwwwww am I ever smooth as silk and my skin feels like it’s been born again!

Wishing you all a great day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

Aaaaaaaand...today is my favorite shaving day of the week-Throwback Thursday. Here's how it went down for the big day:

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(in shower)
    lather-Sir Hare Soap Co.(Drunken Sailor*)
    brush-Campbell's Badger**
razor Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Stephan Bay Rum ***

*-not sure when Sir Hare opened, but I'm glad the company included a Bay Rum scent, and with the title of it, you get the sense of when and how Bay Rum became a great shaving idea-these sailors used it back in the 1600's.
    **-1939
    ***-1897

Great all-around shave. A minute at the Loading Dock with the Badger and the soap. Clean and clear shave all around. No cuts, Knicks, damage of other kinds. 2 healthy passes.. Stephan's Bay Rum has been a favorite of mine for many years. Nice mixture of ingredients, which helps weaken the clove persuasion. Smooth feel on the face and neck. As Outstanding As It Gets.
