Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Goodfellas' Smile Abysso Shaving Soap.
Blade: Lord Shark Super Stainless. (D1)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend..

Everything in my shave set up paired together wonderfully this morning. Another close comfortable combined face & head shave.

The lathering performance from the Abysso shaving soap is superb providing a great slick protective wonderfully scented lather in a short space of time.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Goodfellas' Smile Abysso ASL.

My face & precious swede are is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shaving Soap was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #465 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Double Ring Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh Noxzema you bring me such joy and pleasure with your wonderful old school scent as well as your delightful thick, rich, protective lather as well as your refreshing, invigorating menthol sensation and your soothing feeling that makes my skin feel like it’s born again - in other words I love you baby!

The rest of the setup such as the Prep balm and the Polar Ice aftershave was so awesome too. The 7 AM blade miraculously performed beautifully although it took a bit of an effort to get the job done but I still managed a fabulous three pass BBS shave and I thanked the blade for its great service before scrapping it!

Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
ASL = Clubman Reserve Whiskey woods
ASB = TOBS Royal Forest
Scent = Bulgari Wood Essence
Damage = minor weeper, cleared with cold water, no sweat

Blade is starting to drag, binned

Great shaves, both days . A minute at the loading dock to snap up the soaps. Clean, clear all over. No damage anywhere. 2 healthy passes. Great work from the Clubman A.S. As Outstanding As It Gets.

 

I guess the owners decided it should join the fates of Rise, Rapid Shave, Colgate, and other great oldies that couldn't stand the test of time. Shux.
