Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men DEEP CLEAN Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Semogue 1438.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Proraso Sandalwood & Shea Butter Shaving Cream.
Blade: GEM coated. (D5)
Razor: Ever Ready 1914. (US) (Brass)
Razor: Gallant II Platinum. (Head) - (D5)

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB./Boots Freshwood ASL.

Early morning face & head shave.

Every shave that I've had with this vintage razor has been smooth comfortable, & irritation free one, today was no exception.

I find the E-R 1914 (US) is more aggressive than the 1912, but equally as smooth and comfortable to shave with.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Boots Freshwood ASL.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.

The good news is that they are still available from various sources as I did find a few sites online still selling them but they're expensive. From what I read, Personna bought them out and shut the plant down in 2022.

That seems to align somewhat with the Israeli Personna Reds. Personna moved the manufacturing of them to Germany. One can tell the difference from the packaging. These pics are of ones from Israel. The hardcase pack is the same in the 10 pack. I've seen pictures of the German 5 pack on this site. The difference was, instead of the word PLATINUM, the word STAINLESS or something similar was written there. Otherwise, the packaging looked the same. I don't know if they are the same quality or not.

The Tabac Shave Soap was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #4 High Mountain Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Micromatic Clog-Pruf Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Lubriderm Moisturizer
Pinaud Bay Rum AS Splash

This Plissoft 26mm synthetic is such a great brush for lathering creams as well as certain soaps - it did an amazing job with the Florena cream which I always loved but no more available here in Canada for some reason. This stuff smells great, the lather is fantastic, and it’s so soothing fr the chamomile in it. This cream was also very cheap when it was sold here. The Lubriderm moisturizer works so well as a balm, and do I ever love the Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave. Three passes left me smoother than silk - what a great shave this was!
