I tried to do a good shave. I was 90% done with the shave when I realized that the shaver on dial 2 was a bit like a few days ago if I used on dial 1, leaving a thin layer.
sounds good. I still need to make an effort to try and find one of those Welcome back Joe, life and family come first Well done on the Fitzgerald Good point about the shaving brush and soap! Something to learn everyday. Beautiful setup. Easy work shave. No big deal, they will heal. Nice shave Joe.
Thank you Joe. It's good to see you posting again. Take care of yourself, looking after family is more important than this shaving hobby/pastime of ours. yours- Barry.

Today's shave is a 9.5/10 due to having 2 small micro mini cuts on the jawline area. I shaved with shaver only on dial 3 the whole time. Today is shave 10 on the top/total with the Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017 that I feel is going to get more shaves on each side than the original King C Gillette I used last month or the dud of exact same era the previous month. I used as always, my H 2 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case. I shaved today before the shower without water on the face by accident at the start that was until the 2 micro cuts was working so well, but I did not use shave soap however, I did keep the shaving head/blade wet during the whole shave. I used as an aftershave some basic gel hand sanitizer I made have a light beer sent by adding a little bit about 1 oz of Coor's Beer to the about 1/3rd bottle of sanitizer, though not enough to change the profile of the gel hand sanitizer. Before this the gel hand sanitizer smelled kind of bad like a gel hand sanitizer will do.
September 19 SOTM Head and Face Shave Good afternoon. Rockwell 6C (plate 5) Super Max Blue Diamond DE Blade(5,6) Rockwell Synthetic Brush Captain's Choice North SS and AS Stirling Alum Block Lucky Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 3 Days Dome Turf: 7 Days I am sorry this is a late post. I had a morning appointment with my primary care physician so I definitely needed a head and face shave. I only needed 2 passes on face, neck and dome, but did some touchups on my noggin'. The result was a BBS shave all around. I facelathered the Captain's Choice North shave soap and it gave me a slick lather. The alum feedback was noticeable on my neck and back of the dome. The Lucky Witch Hazel and the matching aftershave were librally applied. It was a wonderful shave. Btw, I got a thumbs up from my doctor. He shook my hand and said keep it up. I don't see him until the week before Christmas. I would say that my morning started well. I will catch up with all your post later tonight. Take care. PS. Did take a pic, but it was too large to download. The photoapp was updated so it is different and forgot to get the right setting.
Great face and head shave Joe, and a double thumbs up with the doctor results. Great news my friend. Have a great coming weekend. Yours-Barry.
Nice setup Gary That Burberry Hero is super cool Excellent BBS result Joe, and excellent news from your doctor.
20 Sept 2025 Single use DE Blade 2 Days growth Cold water shave: Prep = Proraso pre-shave Wood and Spice Cream/Soap = Woolly Wash Soapery: Night at the Pub Brush = Semogue Owners club Bowl = White plastic Razor = Tuckaway Blade = Parker (1) Passes = 3 Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal ASB = L’Occitane ASL = VIBR Scent = Proraso Wood and spice cologne Damage = None The Proraso pre shave has a nice scent. Bit thick though as a pre-shave for my liking. I intended to lather directly over it rather than rinsing it off as I usually do, so I made the Woolly Wash Soapery a bit thinner than normal—too thin, in fact. It ended up dripping everywhere, which is why I needed three passes and not the usual two. This reinforces my view that a well-hydrated, but well-structured lather is indispensable to achieving a quality shave, though others may hold differing opinions ……… All scented up for the Saturday ahead. Spring is in the air at last. Have a good day one and all…

(D2) Razor: Ever-Ready 1912. (ENG) Razor: Gallant II Platinum. (Head/Dome) - (D1) Post: Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse/Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB./ Tabac Original ASL. Greetings, A new shave set up to start the weekend.. From my first use of Tabac products that I was instantly hooked by the wonderful slick protective lather it created & old school fragrance. It's one of those shaving soaps that I could quite happily use with every shave, but that would become tedious and making it a mundane routine for me which traditional wet shaving should never become...I know some people have 'love/hate opinions on Tabac products The scent isn't for everyone which I totally understand, but for me personally the fragrance comes second besides once I have done my cold water rinse the scent of the lather has virtually gone anyway with the exception of Tabac and a few others. A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Tabac Original ASL. My face & precious swede are is feeling smooth & smelling divine. Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
