Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men DEEP CLEAN Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Face Lather.
Lather: Ach Brito Mogno Shaving soap.
Blade: GEM coated. (D2)
Razor: Ever-Ready 1912. (US)

Post:
Cold Water face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Davidoff Cool Water ASL./Aloe Vera Gel.

The Ach Brito Mogno soap is a wonderful performer it get top marks for it's performance scent protection, slickness & post shave.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

Same hardware and software again…

except for..

…fresh blade Wilkinson Sword Made In England (1)

It had a rather faded and fragile wrapper around the blade, so I think this has some age.

Bit rough on the initial pass, but smoothed out nicely with the 2nd application of Stirling MITA

Super smooth, damage free, no fuss shave, finishing off with the Burberry Hero

I am getting better because I am getting better at matching the blade dullness to the shaver dial number I need without staying on a particular dial too long or going too aggressive.

 

I think it is cool one can still find blades in first world and higher up second world countries that are about the same price per blade as ones like higher end Chinese in the better of the Chinese blades, the Gillette factory Super Blue from AliExpress that are the same as a King C Gillette made in China blade just slightly less quality control on the Super Blue. I have found this to be the case with Personna made in USA 100 pack is the individual blades are between $0.15 t0 $0.20 depending on seller similar in price per blade to these Chinese Gillette Super Blue in price depending on the number of blades bought. I use these USA blades because the package is about as compact as you can get for 100 blades as a number of others outside of Personna USA 100 and German 100 tend to add the blades 5 or 10 pack case inside the package that take up volume.

That is how my Adjustable Gillette slim handle, the 1962 H 2 model is, the shaver has the black on the numbers gone, some pitting just above the dial near the dial line and on underside of bottom plate the shaver has some loss of the nickel in a bigger area but on just this one area on the shaver. The Gillette shaver works exactly how it should no odd flaws, this is like a restored old car, might have a small minor quark here and there but with the minor flaws the shaver works the way the model is supposed to work without flaws to the performance of the shaver.

 

sounds like it sat in something corrosive for a period of time,or a rusty carbon steel blade was left inside it..they rust and take out the plating/brass.i have a red tip with similar issues due to a rusty blade/soap residue combo.
