SE Shave # 373 - DECLARATION GROOMING DARKFALL MONDAY Rating: 5 / 5 Razor: Ever-Ready 1912 SE Blade: GEM Stainless Brush: Whipped Dog Butterscotch 24 mm Lather: Declaration Grooming Darkfall Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Darkfall Additional Care: Declaration Grooming Darkfall EdT Omega Alum Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel Declaration Grooming Aftershave Liniment - Darkfall It is that time of year folks. My Monday shaves are always reserved for Declaration Grooming. As the season has turned to Autumn, it is time to bring out on of my favorites, DG Darkfall. I will feature this soap every Monday throughout the entire Autumn season. For those of you not familiar with the scent, its profile is as follows: “Darkfall is a spicy oriental designed to capture the spirit of fall in the rural south. Agarwood, amber, and benzoin provide a deep, warm base for the cinnamon and clove top notes. Birch tar adds a slight smokiness that represents the ever-present smell of burning leaves that heralds the arrival of fall in Georgia.” Unfortunately, it appears that this scent has been discontinued. Such a bummer. If I find it elsewhere I will have to pick up another tub. Fabulous three pass shave this morning with the Ever-Ready razor. Hope you all are having a great day.

30 Sept 2025 Same again, this time with a fresh Kai blade in the Tuckaway. Superb combination. Easy and comfortable 2 pass shave with no damage I would say the Kai and the Feather do the same job equally efficiently Now to plan the approach for October
Today's shave is a 9/10 due to a cut on the nose due to it being sharp and having to go back to get BBS on the left side using Dial 2. I did use the Twin Stropper above for my shaving and why the ends were sharper than they should be but I am only doing this once per blade going until the blade is sharp again, if I can even do this with some of the Chinese King C Gillette or all the FEIYU Chinese blades being so thin. Today is shave 16 on the top/total with the Personna 100 pack made in USA I bought in late 2017. I used as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case. I shaved before the shower, but due to using the Twin Stopping device I did not need to use any of the shave soap I made from a small hotel lotion and soap/conditioner in the bottle. I did keep the blade wet as needed.
