Yeah, that Niagra Falls thing happens to me more than I wish. Shux. Aqua Velva needs to close its pour spout to a comfortable level.

Razorock Gamechanger .84 solid bar head.
Razorock thick bar stainless steel handle.
    Razorock 400 Plissoft synthetic brush.
    Soap Commander Fortitude shave soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
American Tobacco by Andy Hilfiger cologne.

No shave yesterday but today was a good one.

The Gamechanger has not been used in a while. I had forgot what a great razor it is...very smooth and efficient.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Todays shave was a 10/10 as I used dial 1 getting basically a full BBS shave. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 2 topside/total. I do flip the blade over around 16 and count the flipped side amount with also a total overall.

I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

I shaved after shower so I did not use anything on face other than water from shower however, I kept the blade wet as needed. I did need to do like most days since late 2017 a partial clean opening up the shaver in middle of shave to keep going before the final clean at the end, only the final clean well not really this way as I did have to go do 2 parts I missed after the shower doing the last bit of cleanup of shaver & blade after the first cleanup.

    Screwtape A Shaving Butterfly

Wednesday November 26 (evening) - No Theme November

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil and 20% bay laurel oil soap (traditional anti-acne); followed by cold water pre-shave face rinse

Razor: Matte black stainless steel Supply 2.0 injector with "nick-proof" SE comb plate / Supply White Label (house-branded Personna)(4)

Soap: TOBS Lavender shave cream (croap)

    Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, TSD Vanilla Shave Milk splash

Last shave: Friday November 21 (early morning) - 5.5 days ago

    The setup:

    IMG_20251121_044532.jpg

Since my last shave went so well, I just repeated the setup and the steps. And got the same excellent result.

Two passes of the razor had me back to cleanshaven. First pass was WTG everywhere and second pass was XTG on the face and ATG on the neck. I avoided doing a third pass to get to BBS as that is one pass too far and will be the one that results in mild razorburn.

Once again, I was very deliberate in my skin stretching on my neck -- and avoided any nicks, blood spots or razorburn. The alum was completely silent at the end.

The TSD splash provided a pleasant finish with a bit of moisturizing for the current dry cold weather.

Hope the week is going well for everyone!

    Bowl Lather.
    Proraso sensitive shaving cream.
    Lather: Proraso Sensitive Shaving Cream.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

A close comfortable silky smooth shave to finish my shaving week off with no errors to report.

Another great lather provided from the Proraso sensitive shaving cream in a short space of time, leaving a excellent post shave feel.

Last use of the Personna Platinum Chrome which has performed superbly with each outing These blades are smooth and very efficient, the longevity of them is astoundingly good. I feel as though I could quite easily get another two shaves from this blade but will retire it on a good note.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'OREAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

It's really nice, just the pour spout would not meet with @blondblue approval. In future I will remember to get spray rather than splash dispensers.

    Thanks Joe

    :)

Looks great, too bad I have enough razors!

Good going, no damage I see, fantastic result Casey

Super technique and great result. 2 passes generally does me well. I do very littte ATG anymore, except for the gnurly areas, and then it's usually within the 2nd pass.

Lovely write up again Barry. Go the English Leather!

You Could try getting a decant spray bottle for the English Leather, or put your thumb over the pour spout to reduce the flow on application.

I like the bottle, there is plenty of it, the thumb trick works well, so does tipping it into one of my wife's cotton make up removers, then dabbing from there.

November 28 SOTA Head and Face Shave

    Good afternoon.

    Mühle R102
Zorrik DE Super Platinum Blade (fresh, 2)
    JR #290 Cashmere Synthetic Brush
Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Lucky Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 3 Days
    Dome Turf: 7 Days

    20251128_104938~2.jpg

Definitely needed to shave today. I have been lazy so the hobo look had to go. Decided to use my R102 loaded with a fresh blade because of the 7 days dome growth. Anyway, I only needed 2 passes on my face and 2 passes on my dome plus minor touchups on my dome for a BBS error-free result all around.
Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello soap is the bottom tier of the A&E brand. However, the scent is fantastic. I am biased because I do like citrus scents. Also, the soap likes water, but with patience, it provides a nice, slick and creamy lather. See my lather below:

    20251128_120549.jpg

I won this lathering bowl made by ShakeSharp and as you can see it makes a nice lather. I had some alum feedback on my face, but very little on my dome. Finally, I applied the witch hazel to tone down my face and splashed the wonderful matching aftershave to end this session. Take care.
