Tuesday 02 Dec 2025 2 Days growth December already: time to bring out the… ....Soap = Stirling Christmas Eve Brush = My Big Fat Omega 10049, Bowl = White plastic, large Razor = Rocket HD Blade = Permasharp day 4 Perfectomundo Passes = 2 and touch ups, followed up with some ATG around the mouth Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal ASL = Proraso green Rinfrescante Scent = Stirling Spice December Damage = None Fantastic shave as we head into the final round of the TSD 30 day focus
I thought Go Christmas theme like using Cella due to the guy on it looking like Santa and is red color for the products, using peppermint scented shaving products or a shaver with a red or darker green shaving handle.
Awesome shave Chris. Perhaps one day I will pick up the Christmas Eve software. I just have enough soap for at least another 15 years.
DE shave # 627 - DEcember - Merkur 37c Rating: 5 / 5 Razor: Merkur 37c Slant Blade: Suneko Amorphous Diamond SS Brush: Semogue Galahad C3 Boar Lather: Ginger’s Garden Festivus Aftershave: Ginger’s Garden Festivus Additional Care: Omega Alum Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm Fabulous shave with a razor that I have had since the mid 90’s. The 37c always delivers an exceptionally close and smooth shave. The same can be said of its cousin in the Southern Den, the 39c, aka “The Sledgehammer”. This shave features the Ginger’s Garden soap Festivus which I picked up late last December. The scent profile is as follows: “Rum, lemon, lime, woods, bergamot, Iris, musk, apples, patchouli and cedarwood.” It is very refreshing. The three passes with the 37c delivered a close shave without any PTisms. My face feel smooth and velveteen. It is time to begin the day of errands before the Nor’Easter dumps on us a little later. Fortunately, for Joe, @Trigger, this will be a rain event rather than snow. Have a great day all.
Stirling Christmas Eve is a wonderful scent. It's a shame you can't get the splash. The Omega 10049 is a great inexpensive boar brush that fosters a great lather. Proraso aftershave has a great cooling effect. Nicely done Chris.
Colibri (Hummingbird) with 1.10 mm solid bar plate. Kampfe Angle Razor shavette. Yaqi Teardrop stainless steel handle. Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade. Shore Shave Cool Water Mint Ribbon synthetic brush. Eufros shave soap. Timeless Razor shave bowl. Scottish Antique by Andy Hilfiger cologne. Joe @Trigger I neverously brought out a shavette this morning. It has been a while since I used a "straight blade". The Angle Razor looks like it wouldn't handle great but it was surprisingly very controllable. I successfully completed the first pass with the shavette and finished the shave up with the Colibri. Overall a very nice shave with no blood loss.
