Super smooth and efficient shave as the Suneko blade easily took care of this morning’s growth.
Love that razor. My first DE added to my den in the mid 90’s. Prior to that I had not used a DE razor since my teenage years in the mid 70’s.
Unfortunately! I attempted to pick up another tub of Trismegistus but it appears to be sold out. Boooo!
Any new soaps that I may be tempted to add to the den would be of the sample variety if it is available. No more big tubs for a while for me.
I am preparing my new puck of MWF for tomorrow's shave. I am letting it soak in warm water overnight so that it wil be easier for me to lather it. Thanks again @ChrisB Chris. I placed the puck in my old-fashioned apothecary mug. Of course, I took the pic before I placed water in it.
Enjoy your maiden shave with "The Fat". I'm fortunate to have a 1 MWF, and 1 Kent of the old unused tallow pucks which will last me for quite some time. I never got round to trying the veggie formulation, however the veggie formulation still contains lanolin and by what I've read in different shaving forums it still gives satisfactory results in all respects. Just treat it like any other hard shaving soap. What a kind gesture from @ChrisB a true gentleman.
Thanks for the advice Barry. I will be shaving in a few minutes and I believe with my preparation of the MWF and my Omega 49, I should be fine.
Dec 5 SOTM Good morning. Schick I-1 Injector Razor Schick Injector Blade (6) Omega Boar 10049 MWF Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS Stirling Alum Block Lucky Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 2 Days This was my very first shave with MWF. I have hard water so I let the puck and my boar brush soak overnight. I lightly wetted my face and proceeded to whip up the lather for about a minute and a half and as you can see, I produced a nice, rich, very slick. and creamy lather. I lathered my face and there wasn't any disappation of the soap throughout my shave. The residual slickness was top notch. I did three error-free passes for a BBS result that left my face feeling very good. Unfortunately, in my haste, I forgot to take a pic of my setup, but most of you guys know what my setup looks like. Lol! There wasn't any alum feedback. Finished this shave with splashing the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman aftershave. I had a clean and refreshing shave. I can understand why MWF is appreciated by most wetshavers. It definitely lives up to the hype. I will continue to use it for my next few shaves. I am looking forward to shaving my dome on Sunday with MWF. Take care.
Only would need stiches or at least gauze and tape every single time if I was using a straight razor or a 1/2 double edge blade type straight razor.
