Thanks Barry. I am very happy with the MWF. The trick with this soap is to let it bloom overnight and load with a wet brush. However, I do prefer soaps with fragrances.

The blade sits so low in the device, most of the even new versions of injector shavette use a higher gap. Did you modified the holder for the blades?

DE Shave # 633 - DEcember - Gillette Flare Tip SS

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Gillette Flare Tip SS (1959 E-1)
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Jayaruh 410 with Omega #48 Boar
Lather: Barrister & Mann Dickens Revisted
Aftershave: Barrister & Mann Dickens Revisted
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Cremo Cool Balm

Fantastic shave on another chilly and windy morning here on LI. Regardless of the chill I went with my iced brush scuttle shave which provides a chilled lather upon application.

Another three pass shave without incident. I have to say that I am enjoying the Barrister & Mann soaps the past two days. Yesterday shave featured the Nordost soap which has a smoked Orange scent.

    Stay warm.

I recently got my dad a 1960 F-2 Gillette Super Speed standard for his birthday on November 16th more as a backup for his Aristocrat and to have his birth year with 65 blades 50 Persona Red Germany in 5 packs and 3 plastic dispenser thin Persona blades from the early 1990's tail end of these somebody got on e-Bay in 2003 and was reselling the set.

No, because its sleeve has 2 stops that determines the blade exposure. The exposure has very little variance and that is snapping blades in half isn't exact every time.

When I use MWF/Kent soap I usually take a sliver from the Puck and bloom it in warm water in my shaving bowl for 5 minute which it's normally soft by the time I'm ready to make my lather. I understand your preference to like shaving soaps/creams with strong fragrances, my take on a shaving soap/cream is it's Protection slickness, and post shave feel, the fragrance comes second, I find with most shaving soaps/creams with the exception of a few, once I've rinsed the fragrance has virtually disappeared.
With MWF having such a mild fragrance you can use any post shave ASL/fragrance to your preference.

Fabulous shaves the last couple days, gents!

Joe @Trigger - you seem to be getting great lathers now with that MWF! As for the scent, I think MWF dates back to the days when shaving soap just smelled like soap and it was the aftershave splashes or colognes that carried the scent. If you think about it, Williams (another long-time holdout vintage soap) had almost no scent either. But you then splashed on a strong-smelling Old Spice, Aqua Velva, Florida Water Cologne or a hefty bay rum...

Yes, MWF does allow you the freedom to use any aftershave and that's a benefit. I also like residual slickness and MWF checks that box to a tee.

Thanks John. Throughout my 7 yrs of traditional wet shaving, I never bought MWF because I was afraid that it wouldn't do well with my hard water. Thanks @ChrisB for generously piffing 2 MWF refill pucks, I am using MWF. If I knew that I wouldn't have a problem lathering MWF, then I would have had tried this soap earlier in my shave journey.

    Hembree Not as pretty smelling

    Thanks
