    Greetings,

A very eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

It's been some time since I last added the La Barbiera Shaving Soap to my shaving soap rotation. I'll be revisiting the four soaps through out the week, I've started with the Classic all of four soaps have a pleasant scent which are slightly synthetic but, not overpowering to the point where it's offensive.

what I like about the soap is it creates an protective lather in a short space of time, which doesn't dissipate on application the shea butter leaves a good post shave feel. The fragrance isn't the most important The three things that I like to test for in a shaving soap/cream are slickness, protection, & post shave feel all three are essential especially for wet shaving IMHO. The La Barbiera Shaving Soap gives all three, What more can I ask for.

A close face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Thank you Chris. The Semogue 1305 has stood the test of time, it's fully broken in almost feather soft, with just the right amount of backbone great for face & bowl lathering.

Today's shave was a 9/10 as I used dial 4, but moved up to dial 5. Yes, going up in dial from 4--5 helped as I got a nearly a BBS shave with only a few small cuts that healed right away. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 12 topside/total. I do flip the blade over around 14--16 and count the flipped side amount with also a total overall.

I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable 1960's era shaver without the case.

I shaved after the shower so did not need to use water on my face, but I kept the blade/head of shaver wet as needed doing a better job than the day I had the cuts. I did do a partial clean about 2/3 into the shave at 90% on just the blade and did a final full clean at the end of the shave.
