Nice shave session Danny. Although the hybrid razors are a rarity in most dens, I can see on your take why it is a useful tool Danny.
DE Shave # 640 - DEcember - Gillette SS Red Tip Rating: 5 / 5 Razor: Gillette SS Red Tip TTO (1959 E-1) Blade: Shark Platinum (3) Brush: MrEE Limited Edition #017 Cashmere 24 mm Lather: Barrister & Mann Nordost Aftershave: B & M Nordost Additional Care: Omega Alum Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel Cremo Cool Balm Outstanding three passes shave this morning. The lather was very nice, not too thick which made it easy to visualize the whiskers being removed. Extremely close, SWMBO would be proud. So far I am enjoying the DE only focus for this month. I admit that I do miss my straight razor shaves. They call to me every morning. Soon my dear friends. Hope you have had a fantastic day.
Thank you Chris. The razor is of the mold variety. Once you identify the proper angle you get fantastic shaves.
Beautiful BlueTip shave Joe. I empathize with you because these last few months have been mostly safety razor shaves for me. However, I will have Max and Artie make a farewell appearance before this thread ends.
12/18/2025 Today's shave was a 10/10 as I used dial 3 after trying dial 2 that was not enough so I went again. Yes, going up in dial from 4--5 helped as I got a nearly a BBS shave, the next level up but got a cut due to blade edge chatter and time to flip the blade. Today was Personna USA 100 pack from 2017, day 1 bottom side/15 total where I have flipped the blade due to it being so poor in the shave. I do flip the blade over around 14--16 and count the flipped side amount with also a total overall. I used, as always, my H 2 or 1962 Gillette Adjustable 1960's era shaver, my model without the case. I shaved after the shower, so I did not use water on my face due to skipping a day. I did keep the blade/head of shaver wet. I did not need a partial clean just the blade and did a final full clean at the end of the shave where part of this was in a shower to make it easy, but I did do some touch up on the moustache before doing the final cleaning.

December 19. SOTD Good evening. Rockwell 6C (plate 5) Super Max Blue Diamond DEBlade (3) JT Spartan Synthetic Brush Pedro Fiasco's Limoncello SS and AS Stirling Alum Block Lucky Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 2 Days Did 2 error-free passes for a nice BBS shave. I picked out the Limoncello soap because it has a bright and refreshing citrus scent. It was a perfect remedy for a dreary Long Island day. The soap produces a nice, creamy lather as evidenced below: Had some alum feedback, but nothing serious. It waa mostly on my neck. Finished with the witch hazel and matching aftershave applications. Take care.
That razor style is a great idea....maybe next year Lol! Thanks Joe. From Blue Tip to Red Tip. No sweat for a straight razor shaver Thanks Joe, should have done this from the beginning, but you know........................... Never to old to learn. Nice shave and a nice way to bring some Italian sunshine into Long Island
