Bay Rum Aftershaves

Hello folks,

I'm researching and experimenting and this site is a goldmine!

I'm wondering what kind of success folks have had with any Bay Rum products. I love the great old-style smell of the Bath and Body works aftershave, but I didn't buy it thinking I had no idea what it would do to my face.

Anyone have a favorite Bay Rum product?

 

My wife gave me Royall Bay Rhum for Christmas and it is awesome. Here it is.

 

plain ole Pinaud for the Bunny man.

If you go to page 3 and start at post #89 here we discussed Bay Rums at length a few weeks back. There are several good brands: Pinaud, Masters, Ogallala and more.

pinaud virgin island bay rum.


im toying with the idea of making my own bay rum. it would be better than any other and double your body hair upon application.

 

Pinaud is what I use.

Dave could you make one that works well as A/S but can also be consumed?

 

No problem. Every week I move the old discussions into the 'Historical' sticky. Search functions are hit and miss w/ this software.

I've been kicking around making up a home made brew myself. One of these days I will.

Oh yeah. I splashed some on and thought someone applied an Acetylene Torch to my face. It's just a wee bit too potent for my taste.

I have 2 favorites:

C. O. Bigelow Bay Rum AS balm, and TOBS Bay Rum. Both are very nice.

 

I've only used the Master Bay Rum that I purchased at Sally Beauty. I love it. I would try Pinaud, but I have yet to see it in a store. I'll likely get some Ogallala online someday.

 

I know what you mean! I think Pinaud puts plutonium in that stuff.

My go to Bay rum is Meehan’s.

I got the Royall Sampler for Christmas this year and so far the Bay Rhum is the one I have liked the most. It has an almost Christmasy smell to it with all of the spices and stuff, sort of like mulled wine. I really like it, great for cold weather.

 

Really? The only drawback that I could see with it is that it didn't produce enough burn for my taste.
