How many passes do you do

How many passes do you do on a normal shave day? I started thinking today that maybe I don't have my technique down pat. Maybe I haven't quite grasped the concept of beard reduction the way I needed to. Today, being Saturday, I had plenty of time to shave so I did a four pass shave and took my time. On weekdays, when slightly pressed for time in the morning I do a 2 pass shave, but now I am thinking this is more of an elimination shave than reduction. I did two pass shaves when I was a M3 guy. Any thought?

As much as I like to have the perfect shave everyday, my skin can't handle it. I do a 2 pass shave every other day- that gives me a bit of a break with razor bumps. I will touch up parts on my neck with a quick ATG pass almost everyday, though.

I do at least 3 usually 4 passes.

I can get away with less when using a Slant or an open comb razor.

2 passes during the week, and on Saturday, sometimes 3. On Sunday, always 3.

2 and touch up passes too many to count.

    1. I do one full WTG pass of entire face
    2. I do each side at a time ATG.
    3. I do mustahce and chin/soul patch ATG.
    4. i do a ATG pass right next to my ear/jawline ( i get a patch of hair there that grows in an up pattern)
    5. small touch up pass along adam's apple and lower neck to catch any strays.

    6. End with a totally BBS shave.
    7. Have a drink and sit down.

    cheers

Unless I need to be BBS (rarely) I do a two pass with the grain shave. Sometimes I have way more lather than I need for two so I'll take my time and throw in a third cross grain pass.

Usually, 1 ATG, 1XTG, 1ATG, then touch-ups as needed around the jawline, neck, and adams apple. But I never am able to get the neck, bbs. :(

The Classic 1 pass w/touchup. I like to think of it as beard removal.;)

3 and some touch up along my jaw line and chin. W, X, X. Touch up is usually light ATG buffing.

Five, plus touch up. I basically follow the method shaving cutting forms, then add a south-to-north and touchups as needed. While I'm not actually a method shaver, I've found these forms work very, very well for me.

I do two passes for a normal shave, one WTG, and one that is kind of diagonal ATG/XTG plus a little touch up. It does not get me exactly BBS but it is irritation free and is definitely a decent shave.

Usually 2 + touch up for me. 1 WTG, 1 XTG. I have tried a third XTG which was nice to try but I won't do on a regular basis.
