I thought I'd start a thread about food and drink like on a favorite absinthe forum of mine. What are you eating or drinking today? I'll start off with tonight's Chicken Cashew Kung Pow stir fry and Full Moon winter beer by the Blue Moon Brewery. Chris likes his chicken spicy.
Just had some delicious Chicken Picatta. Chicken, alfredo sauce, penne pasta, capers, sundried tomatoes and some cheese. Good stuff.
Okay......... I had a piece of something white. It looked dead, I think. The broccoll was steamed sometime around the Civil War, and left out on a battlefield since. The peaches were grown under a rock. And Ginger Ale is the only thing I have drank in days.
Wow, you guys are going to make rick very unhappy. See this thread? Yeah, it's exactly what you are trying to do here. Wrong forum, too.
You can move it JoAnna or merge it with Rick's, although my food is far from decadent. More like utilitarian and filling with some zing. It usually does look sort of pretty though, that's half the fun. Edit: I just dug through the old DOD's. Yep same idea. When I think of decadence I think of CEO's in Manhattan penthouses drinking thousand dollar scotch and smoking Cuban cigars with high priced Vegas hookers everywhere.
speaking of not decadent, I had a tortilla pizza Tortilla topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and some crumbled bacon. Baked until cheese starts to turn golden
Heck yah. I like the tortilla pizza idea Rodd, that would be so quick and easy and would pair nicely with a Dos Equis.
Thanks, MoM................the kids are hard to train sometimes ot I think that the term is relative: Decadence can mean different thangs to different folks and would submit to you, that Gyros may be an indulgence to some of us. Just sayin. Now post up some pix in the DDoD ! Good thread and nice pix. That Kung Pao looks YUUUUUUUUUUUUmmy
Exactly. Besides, if shaving can be enjoyable why can't dinner be decadent, every night? @Rodd - Did you make the tortilla pizza?
Yeah, something I came up with in college as a quick meal when I was sick of cereal. I think I had one of these things every day for a year. :happy102 Now I try to limit it a little bit. I have an old Tombstone pizza oven that a gas station a friend worked at was getting rid of, so that makes them especially quick.
