One thing to note with lavender is that lavender can smell quite differently. French lavender (at least of my opinion) is what most people think of when they think lavender...though there's also Spanish lavender (though French lavender is also called Spanish, there is another variety which is also known as Spanish Lavender) which to me smells more spicy and interesting (not sure I'd shave with it).

Actually I love lavender smell but given the recent, albeit tenuous, talk of links between gynecomastia and lavender, and gynecomastia and tea tree oil...I just tend to avoid it even though I love the smell.

I detest the smell of lavender. However, I enjoy this cream.

I highly recommend the TOBS lavender especially for the price. Both the scent and the quality of the lather is fantastic!

Go with the Taylor's. Hard to beat it for the money, and the scent is awesome.

Was wondering if anyone was going to mention TOBS. I'm going to have to order some Rose (thanks to an errant bunny) and have been thinking of getting the Lavender too. Thanks Sparky!

    +1.

TOBS is nice but I think CF smells way better and more natural. It's just bursting with fresh lavender scent.
