90% of them will actually say it on the head. the damaskeene were the earliest of the 1912s, advertising their new blades. the 1914 ER is the one MT has pictured. it mostly came in a black leather, red lined case. this handle was used prior to this year for some 1910 gem juniors.
I have an ER set with a separate stropper and strop. I cames in a white bakelite hinged box with two bakelite blade holders that attach to the box by a hinge. Links added: Collector's Encylopedia Shave World
OK, since we're all throwing pics around and everything....I'm gonna rob the pics from one of my threads....I believe it's a 1914 ER...is that correct? Any idea specifically what era, based on the case and handle? View attachment 7996 View attachment 7997
droooool. the head is a 1914, but it shouldnt be in there. thats actually a 1924 travel set. the head that pops open from the back should be in there instead.
I thought that design looked familiar. I think I saw a Star somewhere online with that style of case, but I seem to remember it was cream colored.
Alright, my turn. It's my only one, and for some reason I really dig the little case it came with. I don't know if the faux finish on the case was original or not....But here's my travel sized ornate handle 1912 pat. Gem. Sorry for the quality, I'm still playing around with my camera settings and trying to take better pics....
