...to take the Menthol Morning Challenge? (Not suggested for the weak of heart) I must of had too much coffee this morning, because I thought this was a good idea. Shaved with Proraso cream, followed up with some TSD Subzero AS Milk. Fairly frosty right, it gets worse. Left for work on the motorcycle at 7:00 in the morning with an open-faced helmet in 30 degree morning chill. Such a mistake. Quite the painful drive in to work. I have to go find my full-faced helmet now. I will let you know when my cheeks thaw out if there is any permenent damage.
I wont take the bike to work b/c that considered suicide in atlanta....but! Other day I did Mama Bear Awakenings backed up with Osage Rub w/ 444 balm That was cold! Needless to say my face was numb for quite a bit! Really should stick to that combo in the summer time though
I'll admit that there is no way that I could do it... Until my back injury, I had riden motorcycles for over 25 years, but I never had to rely on them for my main mode of transport. During that time I always had one steadfast rule. No riding unless the temp was at least 58 degrees. I never felt I could bundle up and have complete control of my sportbike. So my hats of to you... Hope you thaw out alright!
<shudder> Wasn't that long ago I found myself on a motorcycle in the early morn for a good 6 hour drive, in what became pouring rain. I can feel the pins and needles as I type this. Never have I felt such pain. And I've given birth! Had to stop after 3 or 4 hours as my shoes were flooded and my feet were frighteningly numb. Sucks to pay for a motel room, just for a shower and a 2 hour nap.
Bingo! Been there done that. Thanks to me watching The Weather Channel.:happy102 Clear and moderate skies with warm temps predicted all weekend, a friend and I decided to ride down to Indy to watch some motorcycle club races at the end of one September. Woke up race day morning in low 50 degree temps and what seemed like a monsoon. Races were canceled and we spent a miserable 4 hour ride back in a downpour.
All this talk about motorcycles is making me desperate for spring. Because of more snow and ice than ususal, I haven't gotten out for a ride (mentholated or not) since Christmas day! Come on spring! Maybe I'll just shave with Proraso and go sit on the bike in the shed and turn on a fan to get the effect! LOL
The ride home was much more better. No lasting damage to my mug either. Guess I survived my own Feats of Strength. Next up, The Airing of Grievances...might better hold off on that one! Festivus jokes...
well, don't have a bike, but I did do a Proraso shave, WH, and Frasers Polar Ice back one cold Sunday morning in January ... I did like it, but there was a bit of unsuspected shock when I took the dog out shortly after my shave, if I'd been thinking, I would have showered with the CO Bigelow Mentha body wash, too!
Menthol is my favorite ingredient in a shaving cream or soap, as well as in an aftershave. I used a Tryphon Clorofilla stick this morning, which has a subtle menthol effect, and Arko Aqua aftershave gel, which is VERY mentholated.
Why wouldn't it be good sir? Has anybody tried My Time Menthol Cream? I hear it makes all the other stuff seem like warming liquid in its highest concentrations.
someone take a full bottle of osage rub and ice cubes and freezing cold water and fill up your sink. and submerge your head. ill give you something cool.
Thats Polar Bear Club stuff, right thair !! :happy096 Osage Rub followed up with some Anherb AS conditioner is about all I can handle.
During the cooler months, I don't use my menthol stuff as much. However, during the summer here in Alabama, I like to use my menthol shaving cream (Ingrams or Noxema) and then following it up with Osage Rub mixed with 444 balm. Ahhh!
Anyone put there Osage Rub in the fridge or freezer? I am sure Jason-Baloosh has The ultimate freeze your face AS and of course coupled with the 444 balm.
