Gillette Fo... Stay away, stay far far away. Barbersol is not bad though. Not as good as say everything else not in a can but not bad. Avenoo is the best shave gel on the market. If you want to try and use a gel start with that.
Ah, those. I've seen them. And I've seen what folks here and elsewhere have to say about them. I plan on staying far, far away.
Really? If anything I think TOBS is underrated. I am not surprised you don't like Tabac, you don't even like Aqua Velva. You sir are classless. :happy102
I wouldn't let a man that didn't like Aqua Velva marry my sister. Nor would I give him the time of day, even if he really needed to know it to avoid being late for an appointment.
The only aftershaves I'm aware of that smell worse than AV is the stuff from Herban Cowboy Now, I have a question: When a product scent is so terrible that the product is going to be terrible regardless of how it performs, do we need to use it to warn people about it here?
I wish TOBS had more soap offerings, because its Rose-scented SC is just divine, and I prefer soaps to creams. And Taylor's is underrated because so far as performance is concerned I'll put it up there with Trumper's and Truefitt in a heart-beat. With these upper-tier products, I just go by scent.
Boyex, as much as I hate to agree with you, I agree with you. All three shave creams are made by the same company.
Austin, the title next to your name just went from "Heavy DE and the boys" to "Stubble Terminator". I just wanted to make you aware of the change. :happy102
okay, that is really good way to tell us about the quality. If you are just going for bad packaging or names, hmmmmm Just about every product out there sucks then.
We've past that point. If Tabac is cat urine, AV is dog urine, mixed with a little bit of mine. Mine, being the only positive thing about the product. There are a lot of things that I think suck. Slims. Derbys. Personas. Williams. VDH. TOBS Avocado. GFT lime. People who drive ten miles under the speed limit in the left lane. Should I continue?
Products are quite subjective. What I like does not necessarily mean it's the best. What you like, I may not find exceptional.
I like gillette 7 o' clock yellow packs. Gillette swedes. Astras. MWF. GFT coconut and almond. T&H sensitive. AOS lavender. The old body shop cream. TSD subzero. TSD aftershave milks with menthol. My vulfix 849. Aristocrats. 50's SS. Merkur HD. Kiehls facial fuel moisturizer. AL non-foaming face wash. I could go on.
I see... :think002 Once puberty sets in and you desire a men's aftershave/shave cream, give the Aqua Velva and Tabac another shot. :happy102 (No offense TSD ) See how easy it is to piss on the choices of others around you?
KMF- Bought it because of the hype, used it once. I had a bad reaction to the essential oils. T&H-Glad I bought a sampler, poor shave, lots of irritation, only used the lime, Trafalgar(Aquatic alright, but not in a good way), and 1805, which smelled the best but nothing to write home about. Given their price vs. the performance I got from their products I won't be using them. Trumpers-Again a sampler, smelled the rose and violet, I don't like floral scents. All of the skin foods smelled disgusting, especially the rose and sandalwood. I sold the sampler with a razor. Thayer Rose witch hazel-Smells like old lady and left a tacky feeling, I know a lot of guys love this as well as other witch hazels but I think it is way overrated. Be a man use an alcohol based AS! Col. Conk-You get what you pay for. Cheers, David
The true reaason I don't like all-natural products (KMF, AOS, TGR): Essential Oils. I don't have sensitive skin in the least, but I don't want to take the gamble. I've been doing well with synthetic all my life. What's more, each of the these labels represents something to which I'm vehemently opposed. ... Synthetic brushes. Witch Hazel - particularly Dickinson's and other non-scented ones. Smell repugnant, do nothing!
