Yeah... international can be costly. I just sent an uninsured package to Ireland for $25 without tracking.

Now, the last time I had the box I think it weighed in at about 15 pounds. That would be a fairly expensive thing to ship international.

 

Jeff now that you mention it, that would have been cheaper and sufficient. Also, a friend PM'd me that he always uses the bubble bags which are cheaper to ship.....definately not the artistic pyramids that you build:rofl

 

Just caught up in here. Been super busy lately.

I'm really glad the box went along without much prompting! Let's keep it this way! I'll be sending out PMs to those members requesting in on the Grab Bag shortly.

hey BD sorry I was out on a fishing trip and just got in yesterday. The box was sent out Wed of last week, however I found it returned to me. My local post is known to be strict about packages..they returned it because it was overfilled. Please let me know what you guys would like me to do with some of the excess stuff. Its not bad just a few items (mainly alot of small samples that have been there for a while) so I can send them to whomever you guys would like, or create a Small newbie PIF? Please let me know so i can get the box out. Thanks!

 

I vote for a Newbie PIF. The September Give-A-Way looks pretty full right now, so a separate PIF would be the most benefit to someone...maybe run a crazy contest where someone has to submit a picture of themselves in a box or something....

 

Is that brush/razor holder still in the box? That was in there for at least two box rotations.

Newbie PIF makes sense... we have discussed it a few times before and I think BD was going to look at that when the box got to him. But if it has to happen first, it has to happen first.

 

Yup. I was going to see about putting together a PIF, but if it has to happen now, it has to happen now.

Maybe we need an expiration code on this stuff like they do in the Grocery Store:rofl

 

OK... how about this... when you put a sample of soap or cream in the box.. you label it with A) the company B) the soap/cream type, and C) date it was added to the box.

I have picked up some things from the box that weren't labeled that I either wanted to A) purchase for myself or B) never want to see again.

 

Actually that is pretty good and I guess B covers the really nasty looking stuff of which I took the liberty to toss.

 

Thank you for the wonderful idea, Justin. If you put items in the box that are devoid of labeling, please put a label on it with the name of the manufacturer, the name of the product, and the date it was added to the box. This will definitely help us keep the box at a more manageable size.

 

Also, has the box been mailed out yet, Gnetics?

 

Actually on my way to the PO. Will post the PIF and tracking number when I get back in a few. Yes there are definetly some bagged unlabeled items that are "mystery items" at this point to me, but have come around once before. lol Will update in a few.
