    WEDNESDAY.

    Razor: Gillette Good News!
    Cream: Blix Fresh
    Brush: Omega 1077
    Splash: Osage Rub.

    ...

Osage Rub, I discovered with a match, is comparatively low on alcohol content - doesn't set ablaze. Nevertheless, it feels so soothing, smells like Christmas and opens up your nasal passages like nobody's business.

    • Penchetta Penworks Redwood Burl Silvertip
    • TOBS St. Jermyn S/C
    • [slash]1906 Gillette Single Ring Old Type[/slash]1920 Gillette Big Fellow
    • Gillette 7OCB
    • Thayer's A/F Original
    • Aubrey North Woods

Result: DFS. Definitely like the Single Ring handle better than a ball end handle. First time with the TOBS St. Jermyn; it provided a lot of cushion and protection, but I thought the scent was too flower-y or perfume-y. Tomorrow another DE (early morning shave before work, again), then back to the straight!

    TO TUESDAY,
    REWIND.

    Body: MWF Bath Soap
    Hair: MWF Shampoo
    Razor: Lord Tech
    Blade: 7AM
    Can: Noxzema Green
    Splash: Clubman
    Finish: Cordovan.

    ...

    Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJAQ1Ogng_s

    ...

I've noted this before but Noxzema Green has a MWF-esque scent to it, but just louder; what's more it provides an excellent shave.

Very nice shave. It's kind of boosting for my ego that I'm now able to use the feathers :)
They are actually very nice blades. You have to focus on what you're doing but what a shave!

    40's Style SS (z1)
    Derby Extra (3)
    VDH Glycerin Shave Soap
    Adidas Ice Dive A/S

I generally shave on the cheap, using locally available soaps, creams, and A/S (except for the Polo my wife gave me). Today I made it a little more directly cheap and didn't use a product that cost me more than $3.00 per/unit. The breakdown:

40's Style SS (z1) -- once belonged to my Grandfather --given to me

Derby Extra -- purchased 200 for around $22.00 -- pack of 5 would cost about $.50 at that rate

VDH Glycerin -- $1.10 at a local HEB last summer

Adidas Ice Dive A/S -- $2.99 at the Walgreen's close to work

Resulting in a very fine four-pass DFS/near BBS shave! -- PRICELESS!!

How did that brush lather for you? That was the first 18mm knot I have used.

Overall a pretty decent shave. A fatal mistake however occurred at the end of the first pass. I nicked a region of my neck by mistake and this caused an overall damper to the entire process. However, all in all the shave was quite good.

[*]Brush: The "Ever Roddy 300" an Ever Ready 300 refurbished with silvertip badger knot by "The Knotty Badger"
      [*]Cream: SCS Verbena
[*]Razor: '63 Gillette Super Speed with Flare Tip Handle
[*]Blade: Iridium Super Extra Stainless (shave 3)
[*]A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & Clubman Club Complete ASB
[*]EDT: TSD Old Spice Type EDT

[*]Result: MFS (Mighty Fine Shave) today. Got a late start and did not go for BBS due to time constraints. The SS is one I got as part of a package of stuff included in an antique medicine cabinet I got recently to store some of my shaving stuff. Had planned on selling it to help cover the cost of the other stuff but after using it I actually like it. Gonna keep it.
