SE Shave Week!

Would love to join but no blades for my Eagle lather catcher I promise i wont use both sides of the DE though

 

Count me in as well. Just have to decide which ones to use. I never realized how fast they multiplied.

I might buck the trend and use that push button that I have. Though my 1914 ER does give great shaves too. I do have a Clog Pruf M/M that I never tried. I think I'll save that one for the last shave since they have a rough reputation. Ugh, too many choices.

While on the S/E subject, MsB do you consider an injector an S/E?

 

I'm all in! I will be using the featherweight Fuzzy gave me. As far as I can tell it shaves the same as the 191x Star he lent me.

I was going to have an SE week anyway so it's great to have company!

I will be using the Personna stainless, although I might try a PAL later in the week. I like the sharpness of the carbon blades but I don't like how they rust.

And for soap, I will continue using the colgate puck I've been using for a month now. Must say, it sure does last.

 

My two cents.,. while the injector does have a single edge blade I consider it in a different class of razor.

 

The injectors are different critters.

 

I haven't had any carbon blades rust up on me yet. I'm sure it could happen one of these days though. One of the SE razors came in with a rusted crusted carbon blade in it. That was a nasty mess.

 

My carbon blades begin to rust within 2 days. If I want to get a third shave out of a blade, I need to store it someplace other than my bathroom.

 

Feel free to use the Star also.. it is a good shaving razor

 

Does a Dovo Shavette count?

 

That is more in the straight category.,. but feel free to jump in as far as I am concerned.. MsB might let you..

 

That'd be more of a str8 razor thing I'd think.

 

Glad I didn't grab any of those Korean blades! I have some Gem stainless, Pal supers, and Blue Star. Gonna use the Supers for the week. Cheapest of the 3 @ Family Dollar store.

I dont have an SE yet and probably wont for awhile.

I'm in for a few days worth. My plan this week was to stick with a certain soap/cream all week and see how different types of razors react with it. So, I'll go with a Gem Featherweight, 1912 and a Micromatic for 3 days at least. Think the cream will be TOBS Avocado. I got in a sample the other day and hadn't tried it. It smells great to me, though- I guess I'm one of the few that likes it's scent...

All you gotta do is send a Addy and the Bunny will fix yo up with some SE blades Queen.

Never used that one. I love the TOBS stuff though. Rose is my favorite.

Got room for one more. I really like my single edge and the treet blades I have for it, but will need some help identifying it. I am going to attach a photo of a razor that is similar to mine.
