Good Wednesday morning all... Geneva Cutlery/ '51 Black Tip w/ Astra (6) Edwin Jagger BBB MWF ss Thayers Original WH w/aloe SCS Mediterranean Citrus after shave splash First shave with the Geneva was uneventful and comfortable with the MWF. It felt easy to handle in my hand and by really stretching my skin, it glided fairly smoothly throughout the shave. Finished with the '51 Black Tip and I'm good to go. Nathan

We shall see at shave 14. Got BBS today without a nick or weeper. Had an extremely good lather today, maybe because I used just a bit more cream. Fun shave as is normal.

MiƩrcoles // 29/04/09 Pre Proraso Pre/Post "Kyle's Prep" Shave Merkur 34c w/ Feather Rooney 3/1 Best T/H 1805 SC Post Proraso Pre/Post Pinaud Clubman AS Lubriderm (Post AS) Result: Unfortunately I feel as though Feathers and Derbys are going to be the end of me. The Feather (as after today I am sure without a doubt) is far too aggressive for my face. Combined with the Merkur 34c, this is a deadly combination. Hopefully the new Astras/Personnas will arrive soon. On a lighter note however, the T/H sampler pack came in today, and I have to say, 1805 is an absolutely wonderful SC.

pre: T&H pre-shave oil hardware: Feather AC DX / Super Pro (4) brush: Shavemac D01 lather: Sir Irisch Moos SS post: Grafton ASB My shaves have sort of started becoming redundant. But that's not a bad thing. Been using the Feather AC DX for a few days in a row now. I'm just getting such close, comfortable, enjoyable shaves from it that I want to experience it again the next day. I'm realizing that my beard must just be really, very coarse. The hair on my head is full and thick and I think the same goes for my beard. The problem with that has been that I've been unable to get BBS on my neck without irritation, but I got it BBS today and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable shave. Normally, my straights will skip a bit over my neck and chin area on ATG passes... not healthy... and my DE's will cause ingrowns and irritation. I thought it might be a problem with my technique or maybe I wasn't getting my straights sharp enough. That may still be the case, but the Feather has been taking care of it.

Wednesday 4/29 Ever Ready 100T Boar Irisch Moos Shave Stick 6/8 W&B Special Razor Thayer's A/F Original Pitralon Fresh @ Work Result: Yeah, this straight shaving thing is really starting to come together for me. Second day in a row, DFS 2 pass WTG/XTG. Maybe just the slightest hint of irritation, but I think the A/S cleared it up. Tomorrow, day 3!! If tomorrow feels rough, I'll take a day or two off, back to the DE.... One shave at a time!
QUICK TWO PASS. Face - Lux Marine Massage Razor - Eastern Tech Blade - Nacet Stainless Brush - Omega 1077 Cream - Gillette Menthol Splash - Skin Bracer Green Finish - Jovan Musk. ... Music - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwrL9MV6jSk ... Jovan Musk is one of my favorite frags., but it's unfortunately short-lived. I don't care what people say: women love it. This little razor, so over-complicated in design, is the most aggressive Tech I've ever used. (I've never tried any Gillette Vintage ones, bear in mind, but this baby is dangerous.) I used the small mirror that came in its box to shave with it in my room - felt like I was in Istanbul. Finally opened a new tube of Lebanese Mentholated Gillette since it's so damn hot here. Thanks, ARKO JEFF! Don't know how readily available Lux is in the states, but it's popular in the East; it's a beauty bar, like Dove, Caress, et al., not a true soap, and I don't like it much.
