These last couple of days have been great using this razor. Island Brian was gracious enough to send me the French made Apollo to try out, and I love the thing! Yeah, it's gotta be the best of any fixed head razor I've used, and I've tried more than a few..

It's very heavy in general, and the weight distribution is excellent. The head is designed in a way that provides me with lots of comfort AND a very close shave. This thing surprised the heck out of me.

Tomorrow I'll be using a feather, and I'll bet it's gonna be very fun. Man, I'm sorry I can't post any pics........nice looking shaving tool.

Result: Wow, fantastic lather from the Gibbs stick. Due to the age, I'm going to assume it's a tallow based soap.... now I'm gonna be on the hunt for other vintage tallow based soaps DFS

Not a fan of ASBs but this one is the best I've used. Still, I like compartmentalizing: whichever splash I want, followed by whichever moisturizer. Anherb's balm is decidedly better than its gel, while both smell first-rate.

 

Satuarday shave

Happy with the cheap shaving brush(costed me 8 euros with a gorgeous stand)
I will use it for my future trips.

Result: Maybe a little to many shaves on the blade, too tired/early in the am to give a full concentration.... A bit of a rough shave, so I stopped at only 2 passes instead of 3 + touchup (normal DE routine=BBS). I'll use my Slim or Fat Handled Tech tomorrow for a nice mild shave....

Nice shave, just wanted the menthol rush from the Bigelow and Anherb. It's hot down here in Louisiana all ready.
