  1. Sexy nails, yes? ;)
  2. Saturday May 16

    Preshave: Proraso
    Brush: E-Shave silvertip
    Cream: T&H 1805
Razor: Silver plated 1908 Gillette single ring
    Blade: Astra Superior
    Aftershave: Nivea Cooling Aftershave Balm
Cologne: Parfum de Nicolai 'New York'

First shave with this 100+ year old razor and I must say it performed very well. More aggressive than the Gillette TTO razors I normally use, but still only got 1 small nick.

  3. She took the photo with the camera in her mouth.

    LOL, no - I took it ;)

MY GOD HAVE I USED THE BEST SHAVING CREAM EVER.

    Kent Black Label.

I've the Red too and will try it tomorrow for comparison.

Produces the best lather by light years - the smoothest, the slickest, it works like a dream and has the best skin conditioning I've ever experienced. What's more, the menthol kick is just right.

    OMG!

This product is decidedly in a league of its own. Most SCs and Soaps are more similar than different. I've never used a product like this. It ever looks different than other SCs - out of the tube, it resembles hair conditioner.

I'll get to BIC later. I'm in awe keeedddsss
  4. Good to hear Pete... I love those old open comb razors. welcome to the club. Now try a SE.:D

    Osage Rub AS..WOW... just WOW

Very nice shave, DFS and the Osage is a great addition. First time I have used it, <thanks Bill for the very Generous sample>
  5. It blows me away to think that something made 100 years ago still peforms perfectly today. They made things to last in those days. I seriously doubt in 100 years time that Fusion's will be highly sought after collectors items.

  6. FRIDAY'S. SECOND. SHAVE.

    Kent Black
    C&E Best
    Skin Bracer.

    ...

I should firstly note that there's a fabrication below and it's that I didn't use a Feather Old Hi-Stainless but a New. The old style merely went better with my photo ;)

Secondly, this Kent SC is unequivocally the best lathering product I have ever used. Squeezed out of the tube, it is unlike other SCs I've used in that its consistency is like that of hair conditioner. The lather it creates is just in a league of its own, the amount of menthol it contains perfect.

I have the red tube too, and will have to try it tomorrow.

    WHAT A DISCOVERY FOR ME!

  17. By my standards it's above-average.

When I see a product marked Coconut Oil, I immediately think Trumper's.

Manufactured in Turkey, BIC SC is indisputably superior to Trumper's Coconut Oil SC, the worst purchase I've made in wetshaving: GFT's product shaves well (as do a plethora of other creams and soaps), but it has no real scent and is laughably overpriced.

The BIC cream has a light, non-offensive fragrance, is a pale green in hue and lathers like dynamite. The lather is high-quality and the price dirt-cheap.

Where it loses points - and this is really where my personal biases come into play - is it's not highly perfumed.

I think it's intended to be a sensitive solution - no bigtime fragrance, no menthol blast and, for whatever it's worth, it has Vitamin-E in it ;)

Now let's say it smelled like Mysore Sandalwood, T&H Rose or Arko; or it had a menthol blast like Ingram or Kent, then it'd be something to scream about.
  18. Habibi, Vitamin E is very good for the skin. Corinne makes me take it every day, and even in skincare products, it is important! ;)
  19. My moisturizer has it anyway! :)

BTW, those perfume oils are a dime a dozen in the Middle-East.
  20. Yeah, I heard they are not expensive. They are Hallal products, with no alcohol, so they can be used by Muslim women and men, who observe the laws of the Quran.
