What model EXACTLY is the Merkur HD? As of right now I have the Classic Long, 1904 and a 163.

Along with your Merkurs, check out one of my go-to shavers, the HD Rocket. In fact, it shaves very much like another of my favorites, the Merkur HD 34C. Have fun with it - many choices!

ADD: The '40-'50s Aristocrats are also great shavers and you can often pick up individual razors and sets for a reasonable cost as they're pretty plentiful.

I'd like to see Dave's Elite razor with the original blade showing.

Man, what a peach of a razor. From the look of things, the lather catcher profile in my current collection needs to be expanded. As always, Dave, if any of these razors need a warm place to winter, you know where I live. :D

would love to have a lather catcher someday. Opportunity has not presented itself...

Please clarify - in the lather catcher era; juniors take modern SE blades and gem's took wedge blades?

My 1908 Ever Ready takes standard, modern SE blades. I would guess this would be true of the later razors too.

I know I'm new here, but.... I agree with the Rolex and the Duofold (especially if it's yellow or orange), but the guitar should be a 1959 Les Paul Standard.

My Merkur Vision is THE razor for me. Just looking at it, you know you're going to have some sort of experience with it. I know some people don't like it, but I personally Love it.

Only problem is it wouldn't be a Rolex, it may be an original Heuer before Tag, an IWC or something like that. Guitars; Les Paul...of course.
