Okay - So that howard guy on Ebay Really came through. Based on the earliest calculations It should have been here Wednesday, BUT got here yesterday (Monday)!

I shaved and no cuts the first time. I did 4 passes since 1 pass all downwards, 1 pass WTG, 2 Pass XTG. I took my time (about 25 mins) and made sure to be conscious not to ad any pressure.

Please add any Advise to my process:

    Night Before Shower:

1)Splash mid hot water on my face for about 30 seconds.
2)Took my mug (from the kitchen lol) and rinsed in hot hot water and left about a nickel size worth of water in the mug.
3)Fill up the sink and sit the mug in it. Put nickel size amount of cream and whipped into a lather.
    4) Applied lather to face and then did a swipe pass to make lather even across my face.
    5) Did my passes, Lathering in between passes.
6)Rinsed in cold water for 30 seconds.
7)Jumped in the shower, air dry face and apply "Earth Science: After Shave Skin Soother

I think Im switching to morning to shave. So if you can adjust my process that would be great. Here is a before and after pic. this is what I look like after a week and half or two, no idea how long I went without shaving.

Praise Report: With my Mach3: at the base of my neck I would to get razor burn, even with a brand new blade, I could not shave XTG there, cause it really hurt. Not with the 7.am blades. Also in spot this shave got closers that I have ever had. Not bad for my first time. I guess the 2 weeks of research paid off.

PS. Dont mind the white man Fro. I buzzed my head and Im getting ready to go to SportsClips to have them cut it

    You missed a spot...:happy102

That's 1-2 weeks of growth? (Not the soul patch, but the rest?) That's like 3-4 days for me...

I shave after I shower in the morning. The hot water really helps to soften the beard.... also, it's not clear, but you did relather in between the passes, right?

Otherwise, I say great job! congrats! :happy096

LOL - that photoshop question had me busting up laughing.

Yea I fixed that on re-lathering in between passes.

I shower in the mornings and if I swtich to mornings what should I do? Cold water for 30 and then hot water for 30.

Dridecker: Ya I'l join, but I NEVER win.

Truckman: HAHA sorry man - yea that is at least a week or two worth. LOL

i would suggest showering and then shaving. The hot water softens up the whiskers!!!!

You're off to a good start. enjoy and i know what you mean about wanting to shave again.

Hi and Welcome. Great job on that shave. There is nothing to "lol" about getting your mug from the kitchen. I bet a lot of people on this site might admit to the same. I use an old Pyrex custard bowl (the kind that used to come four to a package) from the kitchen to mix lather from my cream; it's the perfect size. One of the great things I've noticed on this site is how we shavers can adapt. Keep up the good work and enjoy! :)

Does anyone have any reviews, thoughts, issues with the Parker 22R? And maybe any of the other items of my set up?

Side burns were tough for me when i was learning... not really sure wahat to tell as i don't feel i have mastered it just yet. i was used to using the lil single blade at the top of the fusion or whatever i was using (LOL i have actually forgotten the name of that stupid thing...sweet!). I would say just start lower than you think and then if thats not where you want it go a LITTLE higher. Just work your way up so you don't cut your side burns shorter than you want like i have done! Eventually, you'll get the feel for where the blade is relative to the razor head.....until you try a new razor and then you start all over!:happy102

Interesting question. I used to find with the Mach 3 and, later, the Power Fusion, my sideburns kept creeping down (I like them to stop closer to the top of my ear). With any DE that I use, I find they pretty much stay where I want them. I don't know what, if anything, I'm doing differently but I'm much happier. I think that because there aren't multiple thin bands instead of one blade and because I control the angle of the blade to my face, the DE can better trim the sideburns. It's just a theory and if I'm wrong feel free to shoot the theory down. In any event, I know I'm a lot happier trimming my sideburns with a DE than I ever was with a multi-blade cartridge.

    I shave them.

In all seriousness, just practice. You'll learn where the blade begins. Follow the suggestion above - go way below, then slowly work your way up....
