cheating w/M&P but need help for a test

I have been working on a M&P shave soap for my hubby and I. Twp batches and I got a hit and a miss. The first one was slick and left skin smooth and didn't lather. The 2nd lathered and wasn't slick. <go figure. I acquired some green clay and wanted to know if any one has used it in M&P and what ratio did you use?

 

The ratio is unually 1-2 Tablespoons per pound for the clay.

 

I've used 1 TBS. per lb. with good results. Are you adding anything else?

I am using goat & coconut milk and vitamin E oil.

 

If you are using fresh goat milk, be careful. Milk has water and proteins that can go moldy if you add them straight into MP.
