I really am sorry about Farrah. She suffered so much and for so long and really tried to get her story out to help others. A trooper and a phenomenal individual. She will be missed. MJ.....his music was incredible and he really is the "King of Pop". However he did led himself down a rocky road. Really reminds me of Elvis's death a bit. He will be missed and his music will live an eternity.
Funny how we mark time with celebrities. That wasn't always the case. Ed McMahon, Farrah and now Michael Jackson. Each had a certain niche in the entertainment world. McMahon was the loyal sidekick, Farrah was the sexual icon, and Jackson was the talented kid but later freakish fool. And of course now the 24/7 media is drawing comparisons to Princess of Wales Diana. Ugh. It's sad to think of a human being's passing, but it is part of life. And it is easy to become immune to it all because we see too much of "celebrity" these days.
I hear ya - while it's certainly sad to see them go the hype around them and all the media coverage is WAY too much for my taste. Can't even turn on the radio because all they play is MJs songs and while they're good I'd go crazy if I had to listen to them all day for several days in a row...
