You can and for anyone who goes looking for it, it's not in the shaving section stuff but over with the perfumes and colognes (usually near the jewelry counter). Like J said, it's a big bottle- almost looks like a liquor bottle- for 19 bucks or so. The scent was very mild and light to me. Not a favorite at all.
The one I looked at didn't. You could just turn the cap. Maybe one of us on here got to the paper seal first.
:happy102 :happy102 :happy102 4711 is a cheap TSD knockoff...:happy102 :happy102 :happy102 Actually, isn't the term du jour "reproduction"???
WOW, thanks guys and my lady, great info and sugestions on the 4711 you have given me plenty to think about and i will be visiting the store and give jo anna,s 4711 aftershave splash a go, and posibly a few more fragransis, thank,s for all your input most apriciated chear,s SEL.
4711 I personally love the smell of 4711. It's timeless and pretty inexpensive, although it doesn't last long. It's more of an EDC, very light. For me, fades very quickly. I usually just use 4711 Aftershave Lotion (found online). Also, The Shave Den Store makes a reproduction. Mike
Thanks for reminding me to mention something here, Mike. The 4711 type Fragrance Oil I use, I don't make. I have a supplier, or did. What I have is all I can get, and it isn't much. My supplier disappeared. I'll keep looking for another supplier, though.
Can't miss it, go to the locked up cologne case, look for the largest, gaudiest bottle. When you see something that looks like it belongs in the cognac aisle of a liquor store, JACKPOT
Folks, It is quite a nice scent but I have to agree with others here. It didn't last very long on me and I won't be buying it again. I prefer Roget et Gallet "Extra Veille" which is much nice, stronger and more long lasting. Also it is not that expensive.
4711 comes in big bottles for next to nothing. It has an incredible scent that is, regretfully, flighting. I say get the splash AS, which I've never tried, but assume is nearly as well-scented. I say nearly because the alcohol content - I assume - always brings the scent's allure down a notch IMHO.
Kaveh, Glad to hear that you enjoy it too! I bought a few bottles because they were on sale many years ago and tried it but wasn't sure I liked it. I went back to it again later and thought "Wow! I didn't know what I was missing!" It's great! Blue Lotus is new? I'll have to give that a try! Thanks!
