JB, in truth, I have stuff all over the house, but I may have trouble for placing this latest Haul! I may send away a couple of tubes, just to make it easier for me--I have somebody in mind. These creams are very good.

I can imagine myself first thing in the morning, trying to figure out which room of the house have I stashed what I am looking for. Charging about the house collecting one what I need, I only use two rooms of the home. My straight is in the bedroom while the remainder is in the bathroom, alas there is nothing like walking around my bedroom with a blade so sharp it could lop my throat off.

Alando is apparently only available at the Ihr Platz chain from what my German friends tell me, and Cerrus, only at Rossmann's. (www.rossmann.de)

    Recent Find

I found this in a small hole in the wall shop here in Chicago. The brush is most likely not the original it is a Everready 108. On the kit there are no markings that would identify it but looks like new. The bowel is plastic and the mirror is perfect. It will probobly collect dust but I liked it so it goes in my collection.

Thanks for the explanation of SCAD....I've seen it around a lot and haven't had any idea what it meant. But what's the AD part? Shaving Cream Anno Domini? I don't get it? Is that modern Shaving Cream? And older traditional stuff would be SCBC? What about soaps? They're the most traditional, aren't they? Besides, everyone knows soaps are better than creams especially with how traditional they are....

I got the straights from the in-laws today. One is a folding straight and the other a non folding. The folding is a Wester-Stone Co Solingen-Germany. It is smaller then the 6/8 that I have but I don't know how to measure one. The non folding is marked R. Murphy Ayer, Mass. Neither really look like they need to be restored per say. Mainly just watermarking and such. The folding is sharp but not enough to cut a beard and the non folding is pretty dull. These were owned by my wife's great grand father so I'm figuring that they were made around the turn of the 20th century, but that is just a wild guess.

It has been a while since I have posted my new items, but I wanted to make sure to post these.

These are the great items that I received from the Rolls PIF. Well, most of them anyway (The Cadbury Mini Eggs didn't survive long enough for the pic. :o) I wanted to say thank you again to all the wonderful people who contributed. :thanks

Next we have some more items that I acquired. A thanks goes out to Matt (Truckman) for the long handle S/A, Chris (alabamalawyer) for mommas Lady Ever-Sharp, and Bong (superbleu) for the Slant and Pella blades and splitting the large amount of Barbershop soaps with me. (17 pucks total)

And last but by no means least, a surprise gift from my friend Bram (Gelf Lover). Thanks Bram, I can't wait to use it!

That stuff looks great Bill. Let me know over PM how that Palmolive cream is. I've been wanting to try that one out...I've got two other tubes (India Manf.) that I really like.

Where does the Barbershop soap stuff come from? Never seen it.

Dridecker, thats a WONDERFUL haul!Hope you enjoy it all.
Eric;the classic Palmolive cream is nice but not as good by any closer to the shavestick.I like the scent(different than the shavestick but still fresh).

Eric, the funny thing is I can find very little about the Barbershop brand. I know that the company Franklin Toiletry Company is now defunct. The soaps are roughly from the mid seventies, have JC Penny sales stickers, and as near as I can tell they are tallow based. I really like them. The puck that came with the shave set smells flat out nasty, but the ones in the box smell great. If you have ever cruised eBay you have probably seen the mugs listed.

Maybe some other member can shed some light on the subject.

And thanks Teiste! I'm sure you noticed that green and white handled brush in the second picture didn't you. ;)
