This morning I have received the Semogue 1520.Its a small, good looking brush and it seems perfect for face lathering. The bristles are shorter than the 1305 but the tips are incredibly soft(as like his older brothers).Im gonna play with it later today and try it tomorrow morning.Ill give you my impressions about its performance.I bet that Leon would have this model soon on his shop ready to sell.

Another beautiful Semogue brush that you've gotten your hands on! I hope Leon stocks them in his store. It looks like a beautiful travel brush.

I used today for first time.I played with it yesterday doing some bowl lathering and worked perfectly.Today I did face lathering with it from a puck of Tabac and was a great experience. This brush is made as I have said before for face lathering and works terrific with hard soap. Its kind of a short brush and you will expect stiffer tips but this is too far from that, the backbone is superb but the tips are so soft now...almost likebest/ super badger,no scrubby at all,but enough to pick up the soap.As the other Semogue boar brushes this one is gonna be a winner.I dont know if Leon is gonna be able to sell it,I hope so,if not, you guys are gonna miss a great cheap boar brush.

Third day on a row using this brush and this little guy is breaking really nicely.Today I used Kent/MWF and made lather enough for 6 or 7 passes. It did lost like 15 hairs since last tuesday but I have been playing with it and shave 3 times so this is what normally a brush would lost on its first weeks of use.Actually my 2000 and 1305 lost like 20 hairs each on the first weeks until they did settled down.Anyway, perfect for facelathering and the tips are going softer and softer, while the backbone is still firm.

My 2000 has lost very few hairs, Teiste. (Three or four at most after 2-1/2 weeks of constant use.) I haven't tried my 1305 yet so I will have to see how hair loss compares with my 2000.

People seem to really love these brushes, their performance and looks. I just can't get into it, but I may some day. I never thought I'd like non-TTO razors and now I LOVE my single ring...

    I love Semogue Brushes.

I have one badger and 2 boars from Semogue in my current rotation, and I have probably lost a total of 5 hairs from all of them.

I like them so much I have three unused Semogue boars in the closet as backups.

I used it today on its fifth day on a row and I have the impression than this one holds more water than the 1305 or even the 2000:confused:I have to experiment it a little bit more but I honest belive that holds much water. Why?I dont know, maybe the short bristles retains more water,I would have to ask.Anyway, today performed wonderfully with the Arko stick.

Not many people knows about the greatness of the 2000 until they try it.For me its much better than the 1305 but the looks of the 1305 is just cooler.
