A great shave done the way I really enjoy it--nice and slow and relaxing. This Barbus cream has a bit of an unusual scent, but it works very well. It lathers great, and protects the skin against irritation or dryness. Here's a picture of it. I received it in trade from a friend of mine at Gut Rasiert. ;) :D

Great shave on a weekend morning.

  14. After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
    Schick adjustable injector/Personna twin blades(NOS)
    MWF
    Lucky Tiger AS
    Ava Luxe 'Shisa' EdP

Second time using the injector and as much fun as the last. Tried it one number higher(4), and the shave was closer with the same amount of comfort. Two numbers was a little too high, but one was very nice. This adjustment thingy really does work.

Effortless shave with this thing...... almost like using a cartridge(except fun.......heh). The sound and feel of the razor cutting are both different from a DE, but not in a bad way. A big plus goes to this type razor for being able to reach the harder to shave spots on my neck. Yeah, the small head design is really a nice feature.

Now, I do have to go over spots during my passes more than if using my DE, but it's not a problem. It's just that the blade isn't quite as sharp as what I'm used to. Still, it's a very comfortable overall shave, with no pulling or anything weird.

    BBS results this morning,

    Martin

  19. Hi there,
I've used both slims and Techs, and maybe I can add something. No idea what your other razors are, but it doesn't matter much anyway for this post.

To me, most all Techs feel like they're set on about #3 on the slim. A milder shave, in other words. Now if you have the slim on 6-7, you're gonna change things up considerably.

You are probably aware of 'overclocking', and what that results in. You might also like to double check the blade gap, making sure it's even along the safety bar. Those are two problems that come up sometimes with a slim.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the head design may take a little getting used to, since it's so different from the Tech head. Heck, you probably already know that.

Maybe try the slim on 3 if you haven't already, and see how that feels.
