Welcome to TSD! Looks like a good set-up. You might have paid a little much for a pure badger brush, but without trying it out I couldn't say for certain, as a brush is more than just the hair grade. Good selection of a blade sample pack. The Astra blades are my personal favorite, but as Etoyoc said save those and the Bics until you're getting decent shaves from other blades. The other blades won't punish you nearly as much if you do something severely wrong. Merkur and TOBS are well established as good quality items and favorites of many.
I wouldn't say that too loudly around the fine ladies that frequent this board. They may disagree with you on that statement, and many of them wield straights too! :whacky025
I'm a horibble keeper of secrets, so I kind of let it slip that I had ordered this stuff from Amazon. My wife now wants to try it out when it gets here to clean up her bikini line (the place of most razor burn for her). Hopefully I won't have created a shave monsteress Also, no disrespect to women who shave the way it seems God intended us to shave As a matter of fact, I would rather have women interested in shaving than "European" women who sometimes frequent the Chicago beaches. How long till they get to you Snowman? my razor and the soaps are on its way to honduras... but the blades and the brush are still on its way to miami and still not sure if they will arrive to my hands before august 1st, but I'm crossing my fingers
The stuff shipped on Friday, estimated delivery date is 7/30! I'm cautiously optimistic that it will get here earlier since they are in Indianapolis right now. We'll see. As an aside, I shaved twice over the weekend with my POS gel and Quattro and ended up with razor burn all over my neck. My face feels as if it is en fuego. I can't wait for the "good" stuff to get here.
I hear ya! I will shave this wednesday with my Mach3... hopefully will be the last time I shave with it looks like this is the week for us muahaha.
Just got shipment number one. Now I just need something to put these bad boys in. Everything but the blades was included for free.
