Wednesday 8/12 . . . [*]Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel [*]Brush: C&E BBB [*]Cream: Proraso Green [*]Razor: '12 Ever Ready SE [*]Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated SE (shave 7) [*]Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil [*]A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & True Gentlemen Lavender ASB [*]EDT: SCS Blend 2-11 EDT [*]Result: BBS shave. The Proraso was absolutely great. Not the easiest cream to lather (needed a good bit of water) but the resulting lather was as good if not better than my T&H cream. The Proraso provide a nice slick yet cushioning for the razor. Now for the bad part of the shave. The True Gentlemen stuff was lousy. Got it as part of a big lot of creams and A/S that I got this week. It was so bad that I would not think of passing it on, so into the trash it went.
Hi Bryce, Thanks for the succinct mini review about that shaving cream. I'd been wondering how that stuff worked, having seen it a while ago. I sent an email requesting a sample of the Cedar scented version, but was informed no samples were available. This was from the company who makes the stuff. Heh, thanks for taking one for the forum. Martin

Hi! The Ming Shi is a wonderful razor and perfect for a newbie, because it gives smooth and close shaves, and it is very very gentle and easy on the skin.
