14 August, Friday Gem Micromatic Rooney 3/1 "Super" Tabac SS L'Occitane Vetyver EDT The Gem cut very closely, but I think this blade is at the end of it's useful life. Got a few weepers. Should I keep the metal spine? Haha.
Haven't been changing up my shaves much the last couple weeks, we have had guests in our guest room/bathroom, which happens to be the shave den... This week has been a combination of these goodies: 1901 Lather Catcher w/Pella Open Comb Slant w/ 7 O'clock Sharp Edge Short Handle Super Adjustable Knotty Badger Best TSD Lime soap TSD Bourbon Vanilla soap-cream Erasmic shave stick Wesley and Scott Lime TSD Tommy Bahama Type ASM
Thursday night, still in the hotel (tomorrow is the last night): Weishi w/Dorco 301 Omega Travel Boar Arko Stick Alum Block TSD Bergamot Splash The Omega boar is really breaking in and performing great. It was just OK the first shave, but is performing like a real champ now that it's got a good number of split hairs. Great LITTLE brush.
Friday: Gorey's Chairman Ming Shi TTO/Derby day 2 Kupa Fresh-SC Diana Mentholated-AS balm Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Alcolado Glacial-Menthol splash Brut-cologne Another work of art of a shave with a great blade/razor combination, and a cream that smells delightful and lathers unbelievably well. It has no menthol in it, but the Diana balm and Alcolado Glacial both have the Arctic freeze effect that I enjoy so much!
FRIDAY XIV AUGUST '9. Wash: MWF Razor: Super Adj. Blade: Big Ben Cream: Menthol Brush: Omega 10077 Splash: AV Blue Finish: Joop! ... Haven't used my Gillette Menthol SC, Lebanese, in ages. I don't think any mentholated cream or soap touches Proraso when it comes to scent and performance. What's more, while other products may provide a colder blast, Proraso still feels the best.
